Dune 2. I figured one would have to be knowledgeable of, and invested in, the material to enjoy it and I was neither. It was an impressive spectacle, though.

Roadhouse (2024) remake.

Meh. Lots of good reviews out there about a fun film, but this is nowhere near the original.

It was like they just meshed a bunch of individual scenes into a movie length.
Location & some of the ideas had the potential to be better, but it came up short.

I thought it was abolutley horriblle.....

Watched maybe half of it thinking it would get better..........it didnt.

I watched when I wasn’t looking for anything that required brain power. I was actually looking for a dumb comedy, but those don’t exist anymore, unfortunately, so I settled on this.

Given that environment and those expectations, I was happy enough with it. It wasn’t a good movie, but it filled a niche.

Whoever it was that mentions Conner being a cartoon character absolutely nails that.

Whoever it was that mentions Conner being a cartoon character absolutely nails that.

He was horribly over the top in that movie. But his irl public persona is over the top. This was a fine FIRST role for him.

This movie won’t win any Oscars. It shouldn’t. Honestly, it shouldn’t really receive anything above a 6/10 rating without some SERIOUS caveats. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t pare well with a big bowl of popcorn or a vacuum cleaner.
