Those crazy & dangerous Raider fans would fit right in w/ Sin City.
Half of them already live here I think. You cant drive hundred yards without seeing a bumper sticker or a hat. I think it would work great here.

Yeah I think Vegas is ready for a pro sports team. And really is there a better team in America to move to the desert than the Raiders?

It works from a regional stand point, and if they can figure out a way to finance it, I think it would be a home run. Plus, UNLV owns the land, and it would serve as a stadium for the Rebels too. Its right across from the Thomas and Mack.
I would imagine that many of the current season ticket holders would still be with it, and there would be some here that would be ready to sign up. Shit, I would buy some Raider shit and support the team too. Maybe I could get a half Raider half Bears jersey.

Just trying to see where the fans of the team are.

That would be awesome. And what a recruiting boots it would be for UNLV. Just thought of this...the Rodeo Finals, a new arena would mean a lot more seats for that yearly event.

If they move to Vegas, opposing team's fans will fill the stadium, IMO. Would dramatically hurt home field advantage. The Raiders should continue to find a way to stay in Oakland if they can. Although, the Las Vegas Raiders has a somewhat fitting feel to it.

MileHigh64, all RAIDER Fans want the RAIDERS to stay in Oakland, all of us.. The RAIDERS and the City of Oakland have been going back and forth on the stadium issue for what, 30 Years or so and they just can't hammer it out..
It a shame too, but it is what it is.. Oakland still has time to get something done, but time is running out though..

Now as for having great home field advantage?? I think it would be pretty solid at the beginning and even better as the team grows as a product in Vegas.. Vegas is located right in the heart of RAIDER Land, and flights to Vegas are cheap.. If this team has a young exciting team as it's trending to be, it will be full of RAIDER Fans..

Actually in Las Vegas the biggest fan base is the Cowboys. There is a reason they are called America's Team as they do have fans everywhere and it does seem the cities that do not have an NFL team seem to support the Cowboys more so than any other team. The next biggest is that of the 49ers. From what I can tell from the research that has been done the Raiders come in at a distant 3rd in Vegas.

Next is going to be will the NFL allow a Casino owning person actually have a big time vested interest in an NFL team? Right now it sounds like there is major push back against that happening because of the fear of the betting side of things. Definitely a lot of obstacles to get over if this were to actually happen.

cd, i have people that lived in Henderson so i was out there my share of times.. And Vegas is a RAIDER City dude..
Is there Cowboys fans, sure there is but from what i seen with my OWN eyes its all RAIDERS for the most part..
Vegas is right down the street from Cali, home of the RAIDER Fan base!!
Calling the Cowboys America's team is stupid btw!! And if we move there it's OUR City!! Vegas is a World City just like the RAIDERS are a World team.. Could you imagine Vegas marketing the RAIDERS?? While playing in a World class Stadium!! The Vegas elite know how to do it right.. They NEVER lose!!

Well my answer is based on actual data that they have done. Yours is based on your eyes. I think I'll stick with the actual data that says the Cowboys dominate Las Vegas. Also Vegas is a transient city so people coming from all over not just California. San Diego is the same and they have trouble getting locals to support the team. I don't think Vegas would have trouble selling tickets but I don't think it would be going to Raiders fans. A ton of opposing fans would love to visit Vegas.

I don't care what some research with a small sample size has to say.. cd i am the research!!
And please don't EVER compare Bolt fans to the RAIDERNATION one of the biggest fan base in the World!!
Shoot dude, i live in Idaho and you would not believe how many RAIDER Fans are up here, a lot of them..
Bolt fans up here are like Unicorns you never see them.. So when people try to compare Fan bases is just stupid!!

I'm not comparing Bolt fans to that of Raiders fans. I'm comparing the cities and the fact that they are more transient style cities that just don't have the commitment to the local team. Also the research that I have looked at took tens of thousands of people's thoughts on who they support. This isn't some guy that walked around and picked 50 people. Throw in there are lots of research out there beyond just the one that I looked at that backs up what I said.

Also Raider Nation is not as big as you would think. They were huge back in the day but with 10 years of terrible play the fan base has severely shrunk. They had some of the lowest percentages of fans in the seats over the last 10 years of any team in the league. They ranked 30th in actual percentage of seats sold during that period. Compare that to say the Broncos or Packers who have sold out every single home game for close to 40 years. We are talking teams that have 10-25 year waiting period for season tickets compared to a team that I could call today and get great season tickets right now. There is plenty of data once again to back this up that the Raiders are nowhere near a top-10 fanbase around the country. They look at things like ticket sales, merchandise sales, media exposure, tv ratings, and more. Raiders like I said are bottom 5 in most of those categories. So hard for me to take your word for it when very little backs it up. I know you will come back with "stop using stats to prove your point because stats don't tell the whole picture." I guess if that makes you feel better that is fine but right now the Raiders are not a very well supported team.
