The First Regular Season Loss Since 11/26/2016

Well, here we are. We all had to have known this day would come, just not like this. Losing to a Pitt team that we blew out last year is tough. But, it's time to look at the positives about this program and the last 3 years.

We were 29-2 in our last 31 games before today. In 2017, we beat an Auburn team that beat the eventual, National Champions for our 4th Bowl Championship in Program history and we were the ONLY undefeated team left in College Football. In 2018, we followed that up with yet another perfect season and back to back Conference Championships. The loss to LSU hurt but this one hurts deeper.

Let's not dwell on this, yet most won't let us forget it. Pitt was the better team for 3 quarters of this game. Simple as that. Now, we have to be the better team for the rest of the year. We've done it before, we can do it again. No reason why this team can't win out the rest of the season and make it to another bowl game. Some of us are more...passionate...than others, but we all have the same core feeling. From 6-18 to 29-2...this 1 loss doesn't dictate who UCF is or where we are as a program. It just defines who we are in the moment. Let's not dwell on this, but let's excel BECAUSE of this.

Just to prove how far the UCF Knights Football program has come, a P5 team that went to the ACC Championship last year just made a T-Shirt about their game-winning play over us. 1 regular season win over "just a G5 team" and a t-shirt is made? Hm, makes me think that we aren't "just a G5 team".
