Both in general & involving your team.

Could be a game you attended in person or watched on TV, but it must be live. Replays/re-runs & games you watched on youtube or whatever don't count.

Per the title, must be the full game or at least the majority of it. Watching the 1st quarter then the last few minutes of the 4th doesn't count.

My first full game was on the radio: 1970 Alabama 28 vs. Auburn 33 Game. Listened to it at my Grandmother's house while the older folks were at the game. Great Game except for the result.

First one I remember is LSU vs Botre Dame, Independence bowl in 1997. LSU wore the gold jersey’s (need to bring them back). I was a child at the time and my family has parties for every game.

For me...

In general: Sep. 19th, 2009 #1 Florida over Tennessee 23-13. I was 14 at the time, brand new to football, & was still trying to learn the rules, how many teams there were, etc. I didn't even know what a 1st down was.

Involving my team: Dec. 19th, 2009 St. Petersburg Bowl Rutgers over UCF 45-24. I watched some of UCF's 37-32 win over Houston but that's kind of iffy. I remember flipping through the channels, seeing UH leading 17-3 late in the 2nd Qtr & flipping back to see the last minute or so of the 4th.

Thanksgiving Day.

I was 9 years old. Lot's of family over for dinner. Living room was f'n crazy as I'd ever seen it.

That's saying something because my dad's birthday was New Years Eve and my folks would have some big parties back in the day.

For Iowa State, it was the 1972 Liberty Bowl on TV between Iowa State 30 and Georgia Tech 31. Johnny Majors' last game before he left for Pitt. The Cyclones scored late, went for two and missed.

We went to dinner as a family, and we returned to watch the game as a family. I was the only rooting for the Cyclones that night! Once again a great game except for the result.

1993 Indiana at Penn State saw it live. Both teams were ranked.

2003 VPI at WVU, kicked the shit out of them. Watched on tv.

First one live I remember going to was 88 ND vs Michigan.

ND didn’t have permanent lights yet. So they had to put temp ones around the stadium on poles.

Was 10 years old at the time. And didn’t fully understand the significance of the game. But can remember everyone cheering Reggie Ho.

Cool thing about this game. They actually flagged ND for the fans being too loud. That was actually a thing

I can't remember back that far.

I remember the first HS game I ever went to. I was 6. VVS at Canastota in 1953. (Upstate NY)

I do know that the first FSU game I ever went to...the REAL Chief Osceola planted the Spear.

First one I remember watching was probably Alabama vs Ole Miss, circa 1969 or 1970. Listened to some on the radio before that.

Probably a D2 game, Northwest Missouri State homecoming game, likely. On an unofficial recruiting trip my junior year.

yeah i remember that game, those jerseys were slick. they ought to pair them up with those badass purple helmets LSU wore this past season.

My earliest memory of watching a Buckeye game was when I was 6 yrs old, when they went down to Baton Rouge and tied LSU at 13...I think LSU was ranked in the top 5 at the time? I remember that the Buckeyes were having a bit of a down season, so that game came as a nice surprise, I think everybody expected them to lose. But then a couple weeks later they DID lose to Indiana...I remember that game because my friend who lived two houses down from us, his Dad was absolutely livid and we could hear him cussing up a storm from his man cave in the basement.
