The mission impossible Phillies open a must win 9-game homestand tonight before leaving for 8 games with the Braves and the Rockies, a killer road trip. Meanwhile, Atlanta, after visiting SF (0-3) for three, plays their remaining 16 against competition where they've gone 31-16.

The Phils and their napping offense are practically done, and only the yogism, "It ain't over till it's over", can keep fans hoping. Being 4-1/2 behind the Squaws, the upcoming seven games between the two does hold some interest, but only if no further ground is lost. Go Phillies!

So, anyway, to sum it up. Braves go 7-8 in the last 15 to reach 90-72. Phils elect an amphetamene regime, go 15-1 to tie on the final day, and finish 90-72. Amazing. The playoff will be a sellout! Sweet Baby Jesus Chocolate peanut butter stout to ease the pain. Good Night!

So, in the last 9 games the Phils have gone a poor 4-5 to reach 78-73, while Atlanta now has 84 wins, going 5-4.

Down 5-1/2 games, if we take 5/7 from the Braves and 3/4 in COL, we are at 86 wins. In this optimistic scenario, the Bravos only need to squeak out 3 of their final 10 to stay on top.

We hope the Phils won’t get slammed to the ground in the upcoming Atlanta series but come out fighting and make it a real race.

Yea, jvett. With last night's loss, we are really headed to the point of no return a rapid rate. In the process, the Bitches are exposing our weaknesses especially that idiot Flex and his minions. His convoluted bullshit reasoning and our lack of hitting here of late is just the beginning. This season could have an ugly end and we all could be doing facepalms as well.
