This Bama team does not deserve to be in the playoffs. I do think we might sneak in by default if The Pac12 and Big12 champs (Oregon,Oklahoma) lose 1 more game...but here is the difference between this year and those 2 years...

1. In 2011 when we lost to LSU it was obvious we were the better team that night and just missed 100 FGs......tonight it was obvious LSU was better.

2. In 2017 when we lost to Auburn we had pretty much our whole starting defense on the sideline hurt and they were gonna be able to return. This year our defensive injuries aren’t gonna return.

So we DONT DESERVE to make the playoffs this year. People can give us the Tua was hurt excuse but last time I checked that fucker don’t play defense and didn’t give up 46 points.

If Alabama has just the one loss, they probably get back in.

You guys need to fix your defensive backfield in a hurry. Bama failed their first real test of the year Let's see how they do against the Barn. They very well could still be one of the best 4 teams

LOL, fuck No. He called defensive plays last year and is the DC this year and we have fucking sucked. A lot of Fans wanna give him the excuse of preseason injuries so we have 5 true Freshman starting on defense but I call bullshit on it.

Calm down with the histrionics, sports media and the pollsters are so in love with bama that you'll get a playoff invitation with two losses.

The coaching turnover has really hurt Bama. They've pretty much had a new set of coordinators every year. Bama has finally made the coaching staff sign contracts ( I can't quite understand why has it taken this long to make coaches have the same commitment to the program as a player). I don't like our offensive coordinator or our defensive coord either., but we're stuck with then until at least the end of the season.

I figured that this would not be our year, as Defense wins championships. Our D, although talented is not ready to make it though the playoff gauntlet.

I don't see Alabama making it without complete and total chaos. It looks right now like OSU, LSU, and Clemson should be there. There are several other 1-loss teams, like OU, Penn State, Georgia, and even some 2-loss teams that have better resumes to this point.

Yesterday was their first real opponent of the year, but even before the game yesterday they weren't near the top in regards to defense nationally, which has been a staple for so long. The way things stand, unless LSU get beaten twice, Alabama will end the regular season with possibly 1 ranked win, and it'll be against a likely 8-4 Auburn team. That just isn't enough to get in, regardless of name.

Also believe Saban is too locked-in to whatever plan he carries to a game. "Contingency plan" doesn't seem part of his vocabulary.

As a part-time Alabama fan, I would like to see the Tide in the Citrus Bowl vs. Minnesota. No, I did not stop at a cannabis shop while in Oregon this weekend! :)

You know this is a very true statement. Saban’s brand as a coach is almost becoming detrimental to maintaining a staff. Every program says, let’s go get that guy because he has seen how Saban does things.

It’s incredible the way he has still been so successful despite the revolving door which has been his staff. Isn’t this like the 3rd OC in 3 years? And the 2nd DC in 3 years? Either way to be consistently successful despite all that turnover is impressive.

He did put take out Jalen Hurts in the National Title game to put in a freshman Tua, so I’m not sure that is 100% true.

It is what it is. We got Bryce Young coming in next year and I think he has a chance to be better than Tua. Schedule is tough next year by 2021 we will be back

That's less a contigency plan, than a desparation move when no other option is viable.
