In the 2021 Season / Cap Hit

DeMarcus Lawrence $25,000,000...........6.5 sacks in 2020........In the last two seasons combined .......11.5 sacks

Amari Cooper $22,000,000..........92 rec /1114 yards

Zac Martin ....$17,000,000

Tyron Smith $14 Million..........played in two games in 2020 .... In the last 4 Seasons, has Tyron Smith played a complete season?

Ezekiel Elliot $13,700,000.......979 Yards / 6 TDs in 2020

Jaylon Smith $9,800,000

Leighton Vander Isch $3,700,000..........Played in 10 games in 2020..........9 Games in 2019

and my favorite player....Dead Cap Money $9,000,000

And what is the Dak Prescott deal, going to do to the salary cap?
Dak has led the COWBOYS to 2 post seasons ............1 Win / 2 Losses
Career Record ........42 wins 27 losses
2020 record as a starter..........2 wins 3 losses ..........should have been 4 losses

and a big deal signing, ain't winning a Super Bowl.
26 seasons and counting. But Jerry loves flashy.

Now, all the COWBOYS need, is a DLine and an OLine.

You either pay Dak or you lose him because someone else will pay him and tagging him just prolongs the inevitable and hurts your cap. So your options are:
1) signing Dak to a ridiculous contract because that is what QBs get in the NFL and trying to win
2) tagging him again and having a cap problem this year while needing to replace him or sign him to an even bigger deal next year
3) Counting on Jerry and Stephen to replace Dak this year and win without him.

They probably won't be able to win with him, but I don't see any chance they can win without him. So I pick option #1. Which is your choice?

According to NFL Network, the COWBOYS are now $3,895,660 dollars over the salary cap. I realize they supposedly saved 15 million on this "deal".
My problem has been, and will always be, with Jerry Jones. That is nothing new. He got this team into this mess.
The only reason this deal was done, was because of cap space.
The NFL network also said, the COWBOYS have 114 million dollars tied up in just 6 players. (just for this season) (5 are offensive players)
The adjusted cap for 2021 is around $212,000,000

top 6 players is about 102 to 103 mil. cap hit. 2 are defensive. D-Law & Jaylon Smith
The only one that is outrageous is D-Laws. 25 mil cap hit.
Cooper has a high cap hit this year as well at 22 mil, but that is because he is cuttable by next year. (if need be)
All the other contracts we can say overpaid or dont like or whatever, but they aren't crippling us Capwise.

Last time I checked we are around 18th in the cap. We arent doing great there but we definitely are far from the worst.
Also when I look at the top 51 contracts. We have about 20 mil. at the moment. Projected draft cap for us is a lil over 10 mil.
