This cracked me up for two reasons. One is I know how much Fout loves Godwin. The other is that why in the holy hell are you of all people trying to trade for another damn wide receiver. As good as Godwin might be, he'd still be 5th on your depth chart.

End of the month. I went ahead and made all but one cut ( due to the trade with Lefty). Didn't feel they had any trade value and I knew who I was going to cut any ways so went ahead and did it.

I sent an email out to the league last night. Just saying that you have until 6:00pm on September 1st to cut down to 24 and that since everybody has a lot drafts towards the end of this month I told them to go ahead and cut any excess crap that they know they aren't going to keep anyway. I also said that anybody that is over the 24 number at 6:00pm on September 1st will lose a 3rd round draft pick next year. If they still are over 24 at 6:00pm on September 2nd it's a 2nd round pick and if you are still stupid enough to be over 24 at 6:00pm September 3rd then you lose a 1st round pick.

For what it cost, it's worth a flier, but I wouldn't be surprised if he just doesn't get signed. After nobody signing a 26 year old Orleans Darkwa that averaged over 4 yards per carry for a shitty Giants team the year before I don't trust anybody getting signed anymore. It's different for running backs now. Apparently teams just think they are all interchangeable now no matter what and everything the last couple of years has done nothing to disprove that. Treff's best friend CJ Anderson last year is perfect example. I really like Ajayi too so I hope somebody at least signs him. Tampa would be a great place or even Dallas would be nice.

With RBs so valuable, Ajayi for a 4th seemed worth the risk. And looking at Clemson's roster he didn't have a lot of options for drops to get down to 24. We will see.

Not thrilled about it since I really don't like either of them but business is business. ... pleasure as always Treff - hope it works out for us both - - and really, really hope the Zeke thing comes to an end soon so my cuts will become easy. ...
