1. New Mexico St. (0-3) jumped two spots to the bottom of the dumpster.
2. UTSA (0-2) another two-spot mover.
3. UTEP (0-2) still a bad team, but two spots better this week.
4. San Jose St. (0-2) down from #7.
5. Central Michigan (0-2) moves into the rankings after being crushed by Kansas.
6. North Carolina (0-2) makes their debut after being walloped by East Carolina.
7. Old Dominion (0-2) moved up from #2 after a close loss to FIU.
8. SMU (0-2) gets in after a crushing defeat to TCU.
9. UConn (0-2) debuts following a 62-7 loss at Boise St.
10. Pittsburgh (1-1) had to make the list after an embarrassing 51-6 loss to Penn St.
11. Wyoming (1-2) the Cowboys only win was over #1 New Mexico St.
Dropped out: #5 Troy (1-1), #6 Kansas (1-1), #8 Texas St. (1-1), #9 East Carolina (1-1), #10 MTSU (1-1), #11 UCLA (0-2). All the drop outs except UCLA won this past week. There were other teams that looked worse than the Bruins.
