I'd love to visit Asheville and Wilmington one of these times I'm down that way. But holy shit I just googled it and Asheville is like 7 hours from OBX. Lol.

Yeah, Asheville is out there lmao. Even Raleigh's about 4 hours from there. Knoxville is much closer (~2 hours)

it's only about two hours away from Charlotte and Winston-Salem.

tbh, it has never felt that close. Western NC has a different vibe to it.

Also noticed that Deacs will be losing a second home game in 2027 - they will play Notre Dame in Charlotte.

and this will be the first season that the Grounds will be open in Winston-Salem: The Grounds

Week 0 game in Toronto should help with their media payout since it's merit based now.

Man that sucks. We always lose a home game as Navy with the Notre Dame series, and only get Air Force every other year. And sometimes, those Notre Dame “home” games aren’t even in Baltimore or DC. Makes about as much sense as opening in Canada.

Cal spent a lot of money to keep JKS, and also a lot of money to bring in Tosh Lupoi as their head coach, and he brought in one of the coaches responsible for Baker Mayfield’s renaissance.

They are my darkhorse team this year to be punching above their weight this coming season.

Ron Rivera was a terrible football coach and GM for Washington, but he’s doing a great job at separating Cal boosters from their money for his program.
