After that UNC loss, the ACC isn't sitting too pretty.

The bottom half is doing awful, as expected, 'Cuse took an unexpected loss and now UNC fell.

How many teams do you guys think the ACC is sending to the brackets?

These early season OOC games determine the RPI for the whole season.

And 'Cuse still has to play UM, Nova and St Johns.

But it's such a huge conference, it should be a wash.

I'd say 4 are definite. Duke, Louisville, UVA and Miami. UNC should make it, but leaving the Bahamas at 1-2 with a win over only UAB will leave their RPI hurting. Still have to play @UK and Ohio State which could be two more losses OOC. Iowa vs. UNC is a crucial game next week. I think one of Syracuse, NC State and Notre Dame will make it. I'd say 6 or 7, which should be expected of a 15 team league.

The bottom half of the league is terrible. The ACC already has losses to Hawaii, Winthrop, Garnder Webb, Iona, Appalachian St, and Northeastern.

Virginia just got a nice win over VCU.

Miami took a loss to Green Bay, who are supposed to be a decent low-major.

UNC will end up being better than you think. They just need somebody else to step up on offense to help out.

You have to be impressed by Virginia. They don't get the elite recruiting classes, but are as solid defensively as they come. Tony Bennett must be one hell of a coach. I will say they aren't the most exciting team to watch on television, but they get the job done. If they somehow manage to keep a couple of their better juniors, they could be even better next season with a team full of seniors.

UVA is going down. Funny how a great defense turns to putty against a conference foe on the road.

Scared me though, I turned it on at the start of the first OT. Miami, not UVA, looked like the #3 team for most of that OT.

Miami is inconsistent as shit. They have some talented guys and a real gamer(Rodriquez) but they were so terrible last year they are not real experienced yet.

Can compete with a lot of teams but also can have the duds they have already had this year.

UVA (Nolte) really choked that one away at the end of regulation. UVA really had a miserable second half. Sloppy play, missed free throws and some stupid fouls. Miami really turned things around after the break. It looked like a potential blowout at one point. Usually Virginia is the big second half squad.

Kudos to Angel Rodriguez on hitting those 3 free throws to take it to overtime.

Kudos to Justin Anderson for basically saving Virginia at the end of the 1st overtime. That seemed to take the wind out of Miami's' sails

I don't see UVA leaving South Bend undefeated. And that's only if they don't look passed NC state this Wed.

UVA and Miami both looked very tired at the end of the first OT. Fatigue accounts for some sloppy play. Miami ran out of gas and Virginia still had a little bit of juice in the tank to hit some shots and free throws to pull off a tough earned road win. Road wins in the ACC are very hard to come by. Again, I don't see any team escaping this tough conference grind without 3 or 4 losses minimum. But, I do see maybe 7 or 8 ACC teams making the NCAA Tourney field.

Duke, Virginia, Louisville seem like locks.

Notre Dame, North Carolina seem very likely.

Miami, Cuse, NC State and Pitt all have a shot.

I think they get 7, all of the above except Pittsburgh. I think 4 of UNC, Notre Dame, Cuse, Miami and NC State are out the first weekend though.

Notre Dame is a sweet sixteen or better team right now.

Two very tight acc games being played out tonight.

NC State is up @ UVA 37 - 36 with 13:36 left on the clock.

SU is up @ GT 32 - 30 with 13:45 left in the game.

Both SU and NC State could use these road wins.
