While Week 0 was something of an appetizer, Week 1 is the start of the main course. For this particular week there were games each day from Thursday to Monday with Saturday of course having the most. Labor Day Weekend is always looked forward to by College Football fans for this reason.
Wake Forest is riding high at the start of the 2018 campaign, having beaten Texas A&M in the Carolina Bowl to end the previous season. Tulane meanwhile is disappointed with how their 2017 campaign ended which was a loss to SMU to keep them out of Bowl reach at 5-7.
This game takes place on a Thursday Night in New Orleans at Tulane University. The 1st Thursday Night of the season is generally busier than the others. Of note, there's UCF keeping their win streak going as they beat down UConn in East Hartford. Georgia State survives a scare at home against FCS foe Kennesaw State. Another similar scare is staved off in Monroe as ULM beats SLU. Northwestern kicks off their campaign with a big win on the road against Purdue. San Jose State becomes the first FBS victim of an FCS opponent, losing at home to UC Davis.
The Demon Deacons and Green Wave meanwhile are set to kickoff their respective seasons on CBS Sports Network. This contest remains close the whole way and will take overtime to sort out.
