What ...not enough drama at the end?

I thought it was pretty good but it was missing something that I can't actually put my finger on.
Maybe it was the combination of missing a real battle & small crowd size.

I love the change to May. The time from the end of the Masters to the U.S. Open seemed like an eternity.

Yeah, for once the Masters was boring. I can't remember a time that it didn't come down to the back nine on Sunday at Augusta. But, it was the Masters and it is the best tournament in golf.

Agreed. He gagged his way to victory. It wasn’t your normal back nine on Sunday charge

Yep. That was awesome. But there have been so many over the years. Faldo's comeback on the back nine, Nicklaus shooting 5 or 6 under on the back to win at 46 years old. Mickelson's dual with DeMarco when he sank that putt on 18 to wion his first major and jumped in the air. Woods holding everyone off two years ago on the back nine, Reed dueling it out with Fowler and Speith to win on the last hole. Fred Couples, Mark O'Meara....the list goes on and one. I'm sure I'm missing a few

played this course about 5 years ago, shot a 112 (I'm a 12 handicap.) Had played 36 holes the day before ... I was beat. Can't imagine what I'd shoot with this setup. Greens are lightening fast and many are crowned. Sitting there on the porch with an adult beverage after a round, pretty special place. Going back to Pinehurst this fall.

Yeah, but so did a lot of guys and his is the best round of the day. He'll probably fade, but it's nice to see him in contention.

I am hoping he doesn't but history shows that he will.. We shall wait a see. At least he is into the weekend!
