...i watched the entire clip of the fiesta bowl against florida. one comment stood out in my mind (other than Tommie's run, which gave me the chills like it always does).

It doesnt matter what tailback is in the game behind that offensive line, and that is the second string offensive line now.

that's not what i meant...but you wouldn't hear me screaming in opposition if it happened. i'm split on it...i don't hate him, but i think we could do better. just don't fire him before this season because we need a cot dam #2 tight end and his son happens to be the best we have.

Our ideal OL coach is at tOSU right now.

OC @ KU in '07, OL @ ND, OC/OL @ tOSU

He would compliment Beck big time theoretically. Either they couldn't afford him, he didn't want to be here, him and Tim didn't get along, or he just really likes Urban. Either way he is still one of the best in the business.

Cotton needs to quit trying to get guys to learn mutiple postions on the oline. Focus on one postion and build the oline to be 2 deep across the board. Milt use to rotate whole oline's from one series to the next.

Nebraska actually did that quite a bit last year. Called it "platooning".

They definitely did it against washington. I can't put my finger on all the games that I saw them do it but I know they did it several times.

I don't believe that for one second. You've got to coach technique and every postion on the online requires different technique let alone with all the line checks and pre-snaps reads that need to be made now days. The last thing you need with your olinemen is to think about technique during a game.

I'm not saying Cotton is a bad oline coach I just have little grips about what he does. I know Ricky Henry was one of Nebraska's best olineman and his footwork was just god awlfull.
