I had a feeling they'd get the job done tonight. Congrats and thanks a TON.
Best of luck in the playoffs. Maybe we can have a rematch of the Harbaugh's in the Super Bowl. :D

The predictable problem with this game is that the East Coast media will use Big Ben's injured wheel as THE reason why the Steelers lost today instead of giving the Niners the credit they deserve. Nevermind the fact that the Niner defense played out of their minds tonight without Willis. It was all Big Ben. If he only could have....

No doubt. Gruden was acting like Ben was playing on a broken leg.
Screw the media though. The 9ers made a statement tonight whether the media wants to admit it or not. The Packers better watch out, IMO.

Not trying to homer it up, but I believe Pitt's OL to be better then GB BEFORE the injuries to Bulaga and Sharrod. If the Niners can get to Rodgers, the Niners have a puncher's chance.

Speaking of that '94 super bowl. Coach Bobby Ross used to go to the same gym as I did in little old Lexington, Va. Really nice guy.

it's not a problem for the 49ers, at this point we don;t need media respect, we just need to keep winning.

I agree, it's just extremely irritating that the Niners continue to win and yet don't get the credit they deserve. The only real pub I saw them get was the week leading up to the Har-Bowl.

Just this morning, Colin Cowherd said, "really...who have the Niners beat?!?"

I wanted to choke him out as I listed the seasons the Niners ruined:

1) "Dream Team" Iggles
2) Overhyped TB
3) 3-0 Start up Bengals
4) 5-0 Detroit Lions
5) 10-3 Pittsburgh

That's 5 of their 11 wins against teams with HIGH expectations or great records going into the contest. The fact that the teams mentioned above may or may not have sucked out loud since is not a concern of the Niners. But I just wish they would get more credit for what they ARE doing instead of the opposing team getting talked about by the media for what they DIDN'T do.

you can also add the Seahawks and the Cards who are both in the NFC hunt at 7-7. Noteable wins under both of their belts as well.

You left out Cowherd's love affair for the Manning-led Giants. I'm a bit shocked that he forgot about that one since he can't stop sucking Eli off all day every day. Oops, they also beat the Seahawks who also beat the Giants, and Mike Greenburg's NFC love-in, the Bears. I'd love to know which wins Cowherd thinks AREN'T legitimate on this schedule. Who the hell have the Patriots beat? Or the Packers? Or the Saints?

Whatever. Let the East Coast hacks talk themselves into the corner. It makes it that much sweeter when the entire planet realizes how silly they look.

I haven't heard "punchers chance" in years, but I think it fits perfectly - well said.
