Romeo, I don't know that much about Garza but trust your judgment there. Ogando is a good pitcher but his health makes him questionable as a starter. BP may end up a better suit for him but for the time being we need him in the rotation so we just have to go with it and hope he holds up. Darvish has nothing to prove. He is as good as he wants to be if he sticks to basics and uses the fb and plays off it. As for as a bat, hope JD gets one fast but at what cost. To many prospects and position players have lost value.( Murphy, Grimm Ortiz Kirkman etc ). Thoughts?

First, there's no evidence that ogando's health issues have anything to do with him being a starter. Second, he's much more valuable to this team in the rotation than in the pen.

Second, I have no doubt JD is leaving no stone unturned in trying to fill our needs. However, do not expect anything until right before the deadline because moving too soon will cost a lot more.

Btw, I'm still not getting my hopes up in an extremely small sample size, but its starting to look like manny can still hit.

Is Yu eligible to pitch on the 22nd? I thought earlier when looking he couldn't until the 23rd, but hopefully Ogando is pitching then. If not, I'd think Ogando pitches the 24th and we have a spot start.

Well the dude is 41 but so is Ibanez and look at what that guy is doing. If we could get that from manny in the second half that would go a long way in helping. Not saying we can however that would sure be more productive than LB has been

I have been thinking about that as well, he just bats from the left side so while I'm sure he could help, he doesnt give us another right handed bat. If Wash would start him instead of Murphy as the DH and let the young guys man the outfield would be the real question. Oh then there's the cost, a 41 year old isn't going to help Seattle for years to come but what would they ask for
