Rangers Sports Network (RSN) has partnered with several traditional cable and digital television providers which will carry the team’s game broadcasts this season. While the club continues to finalize deals with many other providers, the current list of partners slated to televise the Rangers this season includes DirecTV, DIRECTV STREAM, AT&T U-verse, and Spectrum. Each distributor will house a specific channel for RSN and that individual channel will go live for the club’s pregame show, the game broadcast, and postgame productions. Traditional providers’ customers will have the ability to authenticate through Victory+ for access to the streaming platform.

Yeah, they have the station number picked out. I guess they just aren't going to make those stations active until it is closer to them being needed.
I just got dish. Anything there with the Rangers?

For what it's worth the Rangers and Yankees had the highest rated offseason in the AL per Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman with a B+:

  • Acquired IF Jake Burger from Miami via trade
  • Re-signed SP Nate Eovaldi to a 3-year deal
  • Signed DH Joc Pederson to a 2-year deal
  • Signed C Kyle Higashioka to a 2-year deal
  • Signed RP Chris Martin to a 1-year deal
  • Signed RP Hoby Milner to a 1-year deal
  • Signed RP Shawn Armstrong to a 1-year deal
  • Signed RP Jacob Webb to a 1-year deal
  • Acquired RP Robert Garcia from Washington for 1B Nathaniel Lowe
After unleashing the soggiest, least-inspiring World Series defense in recent memory, the Rangers have been encouragingly active this winter as they seek to bounce back.

Why was 2024 such a disaster? 1) Injuries and regression for key offensive pieces such as Josh Jung, Evan Carter, Adolis García and Jonah Heim. 2) The bullpen, besides Kirby Yates and his 1.17 ERA, was a boat made of tissue paper.

Texas has addressed the second point head-on, adding five relievers this winter to completely refurbish a group that finished 2024 with the fifth-worst ‘pen ERA in MLB. Adding Pederson and swapping Lowe for Burger should give the offense more depth if the injury bug comes back around. Rangers back-up catchers had just nine extra-base hits in 207 plate appearances last year, so Higashioka’s arrival should be an underrated boon. Keeping Eovaldi on a three-year deal is a risky move — 35-year-old hurlers rarely get such lengthy commitments for a reason — but he has been a durable and dependable presence atop Texas’ rotation.

Nothing the Rangers did this winter was earth-shattering or headline-grabbing, but the team is deeper and better built now than it was three months ago.

Hum Callis has released his all-prospect team for the 2025 Draft.

*Draft-eligible as a sophomore.

*Luke Stevenson, C, North Carolina: The best all-around catcher in the Draft, he offers solid power and receiving skills to go with plus arm strength.

*Henry Ford, 1B, Virginia: After setting a Cavaliers freshman record with 17 homers last spring, the slugger is setting his sights on Jake Gelof's school season mark of 23.

Aiva Arquette, 2B, Oregon State: The lone transfer on this squad, he spent his first two seasons at Washington and earns D.J. LeMahieu comps with his 6-foot-4 frame and hitting ability.

*Trent Caraway, 3B, Oregon State: He missed most of his freshman season with a broken finger but returned to show off his big raw power during an all-star summer in the Cape Cod League.

Marek Houston, SS, Wake Forest: A high-quality defender at shortstop, he intrigued scouts by adding strength and developing more of a power mindset during fall practice.

Cam Cannarella, OF, Clemson: He offers some of the best bat-to-ball skills in the Draft, not to mention plus speed and center-field defense.

Jace LaViolette, OF, Texas A&M:
The best college prospect in the 2025 class, he bashed 50 homers in his first two seasons, has as much raw power as anyone in the Draft and combines physicality with athleticism.

Brendan Summerhill, OF, Arizona: He could rise up Draft boards this spring with his sweet lefty swing, advanced bat-to-ball skills and upside as a 20-20 center fielder.

Max Belyeu, DH, Texas: One of the best all-around offensive players in the college crop, he hits for average and power while controlling the strike zone and showing average to solid speed.

Jamie Arnold, LHP, Florida State: Armed with a 93-97 mph fastball and sweeping 82-85 mph slider, he finished third in NCAA Division I with 159 strikeouts in 105 2/3 innings as a sophomore.

Tyler Bremner, RHP, UC Santa Barbara: He might have the best changeup in the Draft, a low-80s cambio with fade and sink, and his mid-90s fastball and mid-80s slider are weapons as well.

Nico has Laker ties and the fact that he didn't go after the highest bidder and only dealt with the Lakers really should be investigated. But I quit watching the NBA a long time ago. Go Rangers!!!

Here is the latest Rangers 2025 mock draft pick from rom The Bleacher Report:

  1. 12. Texas Rangers: SS Marek Houston, Wake Forest
Houston was a surprise winner of Vanderbilt's starting shortstop job as a true freshman in 2023 on the strength of his defensive tools, and he has steadily developed an offensive game to match. He hit .326/.434/.516 with 25 extra-base hits in 54 games last season, and he followed that up with a .465 on-base percentage and more walks (26) than strikeouts (21) over 114 plate appearances in the Cape Cod League. His glove is good enough that even average offensive tools would make him an everyday shortstop.

Keith Law thinks Marc Church will pitch in the Rangers' bullpen for most of this season.

17. Marc Church, RHP

Height: 6-3 | Weight: 189 | Bats: R | Throws: R | Age: 24

Church reached the majors last year for a second and flashed two pitches that should get him into the Rangers’ bullpen for most of this year. He sits 94-97 with a plus slider that’s up to 89 and works despite just average break and spin because hitters don’t pick it up. He missed a chunk of 2024 due to injury, but when he pitched, he threw strikes, continuing that in his time in the AFL as well. It’s straight relief, probably just one inning at a time, but he’s ready now and might end up a high-leverage guy in a year or two. Not bad for an 18th-round pick.
