Cool.

Well Bye.

Texas expected to hire Steve Sarkisian as coach, firing Tom Herman after four seasons with Longhorns

I hope Saban is getting a cut of the salaries for all these coaches he's taken in, rehabilitated and sent back to coaching.

Honestly I think Sark is probably better off as a coordinator. The pressure of coaching somewhere like Texas may be too much for him given his alcoholism issues.

I also...don't think he is a good head coach. That requires a lot of skills at the college level including dealing with school administrators and boosters, and of course recruiting. He is a pretty good offensive coordinator though.

The Texas job, as someone living in the state, seems cursed. On the one hand it is an excellent place to recruit to. On the other, it seems the fans and boosters don't have the patience to rebuild the right way.

Also...they kind of suck at recruiting? So many good players right under their nose in Texas that they pass on.

I think the Texas job will be like Michigan where you are expected to contend for the CFP day one.

Tom made 5.2m. Sark currently at 2.5 m

Not sure the double in salary worth dealing with Texas boosters and fans.

Then, again, no telling how much he spends on hearing aids with Nick screaming at him.

I don't think you understand how weird it is for Pac 12 fans to see other programs possessive and mad about "7-Win Sark".

Even when he became 8 win Sark and 9 Win Sark, it's not like anybody from this conference, we all kind of thought he sucked.

Don't get the Sark to Texas thing. He was called 7 win Sark for a reason and Petersen proved rather quickly that Sark doesn't get it done as a HC.
He's a really good OC, but thats it. He can recruit only when he's at a program that has a massive built in recruiting advantage.

Only a fool would turn down a monster job like Texas. One of the best jobs in the country with tons of alumni support IF you win.
