A big part of the problem is the scheme.

They run nickle nearly all game......yet the moron didn't put a spy on the QB that was torching them, and instead kept running fire blitzes. Diaz had no feel for the game, or basic concepts. He also doesn't teach gap integrity. They'll improve just by doing the BASICS well, as they don't right now. How MUCH they improve will depend on the coaching and talent.

BS, last night it was shitty tackling and to deny that is just inane. yer boys were bouncing off and wiffing, bigtime. there was little effort to try and wrap guys up. it was freakin hilarious....

Whats amazing is Texas can have what Texas wants.

Manny was no scapegoat, he was genuinely terrible. His D last year was the worst in school history. He should have been fired then. He follows up the worst D in school history with the most rushing yards allowed in school history, and you think he's a scapegoat?

I'd go for Charlie Strong if I were Texas. Getting him fresh off a potential MNC run with a potential Heisman contending QB and #1 draft pick would lead to a lot of team confidence and recruiting potential.
