Terrible TV Coverage

Game is on MSG+2 tonight. It's a normal channel on Fios, but the broadcast has been total garbage. There have been several instanced where when we get back from commercial the game is going on. What the hell.

and this is without basketball! imagine if they had nets/knicks coverage....or are the nets on yankees?

Not sure if 2nd or 3rd, but do you recall seeing the camera totally off focus for like 5 seconds? I got directtv, so rewinded, and it was the camera guy.

One thing I will say...ranger game always has totally perfect coverage. not bitching here, but this happens often on Devil game opposed to Rag games

Yes I do. It looked like someone kicked it it all went black, then you could see an error in the lens. I wonder if they needed to replace one or something.

I have Cablevision so the coverage is slightly better than the Fios feed, but seriously MSG can't afford legit cameras and another channel? I feel like I'm watching a highschool game with that quality.

WHOA WHOA WHOA. I've been waiting for this to happen for 2 years. When is the channel going live? Is it already and I didn't notice? WTF.

I think Cablevision filed another appeal so it may be even longer

I think they are out of appeals. The only court that could hear the case at this point is the U.S. Supreme Court, and I highly doubt that they are going to waste their time. Right now I think they are haggling over a package price.

Also, after watching a couple games on Vs this year, I realize hockey is meant to be in HD. Standard just doesn't cut it.

Devils feed was not even available on center ice, just the Columbus announcers last night

The problem is that the Devils are on an overload channel sometimes on Cablevision because their network is so bad that they don't have the room to carry MSG, MSG2, MSG+, and MSG+2 as stand alone hd channels. Fios already has 4 channels dedicated to MSG standard def, and because of the fiber optic connection would be able to add the HD channels as standalone channels. The other issue is that with Cablevision, the overload HD channel is incredibly bad picture quality compared to MSG HD. All in all, I can't wait for the HD channels on fios.
