With Hernandez and Gronkowski on the downslide, Tebow might just get his chance.

if this is a serious thread..then you need to look at Zach Sudfeld at TE#1. Even without Gronk and Raenthal Hernandez..Tim would be 4th on the depth chart

Well, I did say "might."

And Tebow has a chance to beat out the other guys before the season starts. Outside shot, I know, but there is a chance.

Pretty sure Tebow doesn't want to be a TE.

Pretty sure he wants to play, though. With Brady and Mallett in front of him at QB he'll be lucky to get on the field at all at QB.

typically the pats love versatility.. will he work out at the te postition.. maybe.. if he can catch he might be the a.h. replacement out of the back field put in motion to a slot.. if IF he can catch and do the other things.. if they want him to and he wont he will be cut.. its up to how bad tebow wants to play football

So what happens in FF leagues when he is listed as a QB but ultimately ends up being a TE?

This, if he can be used, the Pats will use him. There is no chance he sees playing time at QB outside wildcat obviously but he will have a lot opportunities to play using his talents at every other position if he decides he wants to play football.

Special teams, H back, TE, maybe even linebacker or SS now that he dropped some weight IIRC

If you have him on your fantasy team, you have bigger problems.

Tebow won't magically become a great TE in one off-season. I think whatever he does (and who knows, it may be a variety of things) it will be situational.

He'll earn some of the respect he's been lacking if he just quietly works his butt off at whatever is asked and is ready to block or play special teams when called.

A friend of mine thought this when he first heard that Tebow was signed by the Pats. I disagreed at the time, but anything is possible.

???? Fuck no he wont. Thats all the guy has ever done. " Quietly work his butt of and do whatever is asked". Seriously, thats it. Tebow doesnt create the media blitz, the media does. If doing what he was asked to do got him respect then he'd have it already.

The Patriots have enough talent so that they won't miss him.

They turned a Kent State QB into a great punt returner/kick returner as well as a "Wes Welker replacement". I see no reason why the Pats cannot turn a University of Florida QB into a receiving TE.

Hell, tell Timmy he can ride the pine for $630k or he can have Aarons $41 mil if he wants to play catch with Tommy.

Hey, if Timmy is unhappy about it, I'll be glad to ride the pine for him for $630K. Any and every day of the week!
