Sam Beal and Adonis Alexander are giving the 2018 Supp Draft the most hype in quite some time.

    July 11th

josh gordon and terrell pryor were the last 2 to really do anything in the league as supplemental picks. ahmad brooks in 2006 was the last to have a solid career, and he was picked 12 years ago.

Yeah, but some talk of a day 2 pick being fired off for Beal.

Best supplemental draft since Josh Gordon, and yeah. Some AFC teams are sniffing around apparently.

Cris Carter too. The USFL supplemental draft was pretty big too. I still think about if the Giants didnt pass on Reggie White and had a young Reggie White and Lawrence Taylor together. Probably the 2 greatest defensive players ever. Would have been nuts.

My guess is Beal and Alexander get taken, but 2nd round? Holy crap.
I was going to guess 4/5 for Beal and 5/6 for Alexander

Kinda hoping my team takes that plunge given the projected outside CB's are supposedly Steven Nelson (a slot CB) and David Amerson.

I think Beal fetches a 3rd. John Dorsey went in person to check him out recently, and Cleveland has two 3rd rounders, so I would guess he uses it here. He's been seen as a very possible late 1st/early 2nd for the 2019 draft, so using a 3rd might be a steal.

Yeah, I am all for using a 2nd as far as the Chiefs go. Playoff team in a big need of a talent at CB not named Kendall Fuller. No brainer for me.

That bodes well for Cleveland, as there hasn't been much rumored interest from Oakland, NYJ, or NYG for Beal. Basically if Cleveland bids a 3rd and none of the teams ahead of them bid a 3rd, then whoever after Cleveland wants Beal will have to bid a 2nd or Cleveland gets him.

It's very possible they would. No faith in Nelson or Amerson?

Nelson I am fine with as a slot CB. As an outside CB he's out of position. Amerson is filler.

CB is main reason I am not predicting the Chiefs to win the division as of right now until proven otherwise.

So the Giants lose a 2019 3rd round pick. A bit surprised they ended up getting him if that's the case. They must believe they can make the playoffs now.
