The blame for Boswell being knocked out of the game lies solely on Boswell. He had a chance to dump it off to the TE early and held onto it. There was nothing wrong with the play call.
You are sort of laying the blame on the "victim" in this case. Boswell was told to run a play and was trying to make a play.

He was put in that position because of TWO awful play calls:

1. Running on 3rd and 17 near the end zone.
2. The fake field goal attempt.

Playing it safe on 3rd down just to gamble on 4th down was idiotic.
The better move would have been an attempt to the end zone on 3rd down and then the 38 yard FG, on 4th, if 3rd down was incomplete.

Or since they played it safe on 3rd THEY SHOULD have played it safe on 4th and took the easy points.

steelers earned it. Your rookie TE catches a ball back of EZ with guy draped on him and ball knocked away. Our well paid WRs and TEs keep dropping balls and fumbling.

Baker, as usual, will be blamed for the loss but he was the least of our issues today
Give Baker credit he played a great game.

I am still dumbfounded at the lack of running the Browns attempted today.

As for the Steelers: Freiermuth is showing to be a stud TE. So glad Ebron was hurt and not active today because some of those plays would have been to Ebron. NONE of them would have turned out like they did.

I mean, playing from behind at end stops them from running. Hard to blame the playcalling when the call was not for a dropped pass or when he catches it to fumble.

Oh late in the game when down is a different story but the first half and early in the second half there was no reason not to. The Steelers proved themselves to struggle against the run and this game lined up perfectly for the Browns running attack.

Taysom is out, and to everyone's surprise Semian is still in the league.

D.Davis is definitely leading the Saints Defense. Surprised you dont hear more about him from talking heads on all these football shows.
