In addition to the three mentioned above, below is who SU has received verbals for the 2015 class.

Tyrone Perkins, RB 6-0/190, Friends Academy Locust Valley, N.Y.

Jordan Fredericks, RB 5-11/195, Lawrence H.S. Cedarhurst, N.Y.

Gerald Robinson, CB 5-10/175, Champagnat Catholic, Hialeah, Fla.

Davante Davis, CB 6-3/200, Booker T. Washington H.S. Homestead, Fla.

Coach McDonald has a toe in the Florida Recruiting Door. I like what he's doing a bunch.

Syracuse football 2015 class ranked No. 32 nationally by 247Sports

Dana Levine, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound defensive end/outside linebacker, is not yet ranked by any of the major recruiting services, so it's difficult to say how his commitment will truly affect the team rankings.

And Davante Davis, a cornerback from Booker T. Washington High School in Florida, has seen his recruiting heat up in recent weeks, with Alabama the latest power program to offer the Syracuse commit.

Can Syracuse hang onto him over the next eight months?

Syracuse football recruit Davante Davis decommits, says he wants to 'enjoy the whole recruiting process'

"I will be opening everything back up far as this recruiting process. I've had a nice talk with Coach McDonald also have had a talk with my family and decided to decommit from Syracuse. It's nothing but love for them but I want to enjoy the whole recruiting process and give everyone a fair chance."

When Davis verbally committed to Syracuse on May 6, he held offers from schools such as Cincinnati, Florida International and Florida Atlantic. Virginia was his only other equity conference offer.

Since then, the 6-foot-2½, 195-pound cornerback has received offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Illinois, Louisville, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Quickness from NJ

Listed at 6 feet, 180 pounds by Scout.com, the South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) product is rated three stars across the board and chose Syracuse over Indiana, West Virginia, Virginia and Rutgers, among others.

Strickland becomes the ninth verbal commitment in SU's Class of 2015 and third running back, joining
Jordan Fredericks and Tyrone Perkins.

Kept one from VA. RU and WV are old foes. This will sting with them a little. :suds: ACC Baby!

I'm not sure what to think of this....

Syracuse football pulls offer from Frank Battle after another WR/TE commits, high school coach says | syracuse.com

And before Battle left on Saturday, Shafer told him there would be only one scholarship given at the 'Y' position and the Orange had made three offers.

One to Battle. One to an Alex from New York State (presumably Alex Parkinson). And one to a third target. Whoever committed first would be given the scholarship.

Battle flew home, consulted his mother Sunday night and decided he would commit to the Orange after speaking with his coach, Richard Stuart, before practice on Monday.

"We pretty much came to the decision to commit, give a verbal commitment, Syracuse is my best school right now and has the most to offer," Battle said.

But he never got the chance. McDonald called Stuart that morning to tell him that another player had committed Sunday night.

Battle called back, and all McDonald could say was to keep in touch as a verbal commitment is non-binding, especially considering schools can't actually offer scholarships until Aug. 1 of a player's senior season.

"Frank waited too long," Stuart said.

Regarding the player's commitment on Sunday, Parkinson has not committed to Syracuse, he wrote in a text message on Monday. That leaves the third player, who is unknown at this time.

SU is recruiting by the pound this year.

Evan Adams verbally committed to Syracuse. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive lineman was on his way back from visiting Maryland when he made his decision on Thursday night.

Adams chose the Orange over offers from Maryland, Connecticut and Massachusetts. He visited Syracuse one week ago and becomes the first commit for first-year offensive line coach Joe Adam.

Yet another big assed lineman.....

Syracuse, N.Y. — Four days after landing 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive lineman Evan Adams, Syracuse likely locked up the last of its offensive linemen in the 2015 recruiting class on Tuesday afternoon.

Mount Carmel (Chicago, Ill.) High School offensive lineman Andrejas Duerig verbally committed to the Orange, according to Scout.com. The 6-foot-4, 272-pound recruit chose Syracuse over offers from Western Michigan, Toledo, Illinois State, Florida Atlantic and Buffalo, according to Scout.com.
