Kind of sad, it hurts baseball as a whole when guys like Prior, Strasburg, etc get overworked and go down. Hopefully he can come back as a Kerry Wood type and not be just done.

TJ is not a career ender. Will he be Warren Spawn Jr? Prob not, but that was a tall order to begin with.

He also was not overworked. He just had a CRAPPY delivery. He will have to totally re-create his delivery when he comes back, which will likey remove AT LEAST 5 mph from his velocity.

Will he be able to compete now? Who knows...

That's gotta be tough. Though, by 2012 when he's back, Bryce Harper may be on the horizon. I'd say realistically, 2012 will be a solid year (around .500) with the young players growing up and they could be contending by 2013, 2014 at the lastest (baring major injuy).

That's asking a lot of the fanbase though. Waiting for two phenoms like this may help though.

Although TJ is no longer a career ender, I am not sure that Strasburg can be clasified as a phenom anymore...
