Ales of the Revolution | Yards Brewing Company

Wifey & I each had a 'flight'.... I really liked their Cicada, (Belgian style IPA) .... I like IPA's in general.

Their Tavern Ale was excellent, Tavern Spruce Ale was nasty bad (IMO).

Wifey liked the Tavern Porter..... and we both dug their Chocolate Love Stout (kinda weird as I tend not to like the chocolate beers...... though that chocolate pumpkin porter I posted in the other thread was wicked good.... for 'just a couple'...this time of year).

[ Note I 'often' grab a 6er of their Brawler...so I didn't bother 'trying it ]

Biggest surprise.... wifey actually enjoyed the visit/sampling the beers...... this after a month ago, going to Victory, in Downingtown PA. Methinks I just converted her from Coor's Lite.:suds::omg::nod:

In my un scientific observations, Sour's are real hit or miss, mostly miss. I would say only about 1/3 rd of the folks I get to try a Sour like them, about 2/3rd don't care for them at all, my wife included. I love them, and fortunately have one of the best Sour producers in the nation in town.

I was thinkin' about this 'wifey starting to like REAL beer' could be a bad thing to the wallet...:gaah::doh::L:bawling:

Only thing I've had from them was their Brawler Pugilist Style Ale. Really good.

As I noted, I grab their Brawler 'often'. Not the greatest beer in the world...but NEVER disappoints.

Which brewery are you referring to?

There's no telling how many visiting friends and family we've taken on the Yards Brewing tour.

I never got to do the tour, but I did do a flight with lunch. Good stuff, mostly. And the food is very good, too.
