He’s very good, and probably a first round draft pick, but not the playmaker Bowers is.
Mayer is the best TE prospect in a generation. The kid isn’t just a decent blocker, he’s an exceptional blocker that could probably be drafted as an NFL tackle if he committed to putting the weight on. ND has little at WR. Mayer was double teamed on nearly every snap and still produced. Bowers wears Michael Mayer pajamas.

We? Holy shit this is cool! I didn’t realize we had players who posted here. What position do you play? What’s Jordan Davis like in real life? Is he really as big as he looks on TV?
Oh, I get it now. I'm not here enough to know everyone...you're just the board dick.

I don’t post here much either. This board is dominated by a delusional Minnesota fan who highjacks every thread. I’m surprised it hadn’t happened already.

Heisman trivia. Should be an easy one.

Who's the only player to win the award on a losing team and what season?

Paul Hornung. And the result was steeped in racism. Can’t remember the year but that award was Jim Brown’s and he got cheated out of it because of racism.

Was just thinking of some Heisman trivia and that was the first thing I thought of. But the year was '56.

Thought of another one. Who are the only TE's to win the award? '36 and '49 were the years.

Maybe if Notre Dame was more relevant the last 3 decades, you'd have more to add?

Nothing I post is delusional, it's all backed up by some stat, fact or evidence.

There was no "struggle" in those games. We barely threw the ball is the only reason hi numbers were down. That's not on him. Against better teams when we passed more, his numbers were better than every other finalists playing ranked teams.
Ignore the assholes here, fans often use the term "we" when talking about their favorite team, if you hang out here long enough you will train yourself not to do it, especially with assholes like fightingfunbags around to play the forum dick ready to pounce on you if you do. He's just jealous of Georgia fans seeing they are about to win as many titles in the last 2 years as Notre Dame has in the last 50+ years. lol.

The Heisman has unfortunately become just another of the too many QOTY awards.

Not sure what a player in another position has to do these days to win it? And TE is seen as one of the least glorious positions in cfb, unfortunately.

But a great TE can add so much to a team with a balanced offense.

As a Minnesota fan you're really in position to talk shit about any other teams. Going back to the '93 season, 30 years, your team has had 16 losing seasons.

"nothing I post is delusional"

^^^^

Totally delusional.

You once said because of what Minnesota did in the mid 1930's & early 40's they're on par historically with N.D. football. And that's just one of many examples of your nonstop over the top homerism.

Leon Hart is the one from ‘49. Don’t know the one from ‘36

No, I didn't say that you MORON. Your lack of reading comprehension skills misled you.

It's funny how you try to deny the utter bullshit you've said on more than one occasion.

Why can't you be a rational fan? You pretend that Minnesota football is better than it really is.

And when asked what makes Gophers football elite right now you answer involves hockey and the Minnesota dance team.

I tell you what bro, as much as I may believe a Gopher should have made the top 4, none did, so I am only slightly interested in this topic this year, especially with it being all QBs, so I will try not to contribute to this thread going forward.
