A bigger issue is the fact that devs aren't even getting the most out of the PS5 tech as it is, mostly because it's very expensive to do so. The Demon's Souls remake that came out on launch is still one of the best-looking games on the console. Makes you wonder why they're even considering a next-gen console when the current one has plenty of life in it.

Lol ok peon, explain how ram price for ps6 and the next gen xbox wont affect msrp. Also explain why Samsung, Micron, and sk hynix will just skip making chips datacenters, turning down higher profits and make cheap ram for ps6 and xbox…

You list the price of a bunch of consoles that you pulled up on your phone but don't give me a list of RAM prices. How am I supposed to buy in to this silly correlation when you give me half the data...and data that anyone can easily look up?

And, why all this talk of RAM? So that's the ONLY component of a console that increases in price? Given the time between each new console one can easily conclude that most of the parts that make up these consoles now cost more. That's generally how costs work. So why are we only focusing on the cost of RAM here? No analysis on the cost of grey plastic? That 20-Something YouTuber with his fancy accent didn't cover that part for you?

Youre back peddling and retarded, The argument is that price point of Steam Machine and consoles (which are slave PC's for broke and or incompetent adults as well as children ages 3+) is effected by ram price. Steam Machine is a new player in the "Console" market, and Timing is the issue right now.... AI is absorbing the ram production from virtually all other areas of ram market.

My point is that it's laughably simplistic to say that the cost of just one component of the console is the only thing that drives the price. Especially when there's no f***ing way some YouTuber knows the Costs of Goods Sold balance for console makers and I still haven't seen any data about the price of RAM.

Not to mention, it's not that groundbreaking to suggest that costs increasing within a company will result in them having to raise prices. This happens with every single company in existence.

What happened to PC players? PC play was about freedom and now they're literally becoming just another console. Though, given how poorly Steam games will play for many users, maybe one is necessary.

I think there's a market for it, but it's a niche one. Steam is catering to the middle class, which I 100% applaud. But if you're a parent you're still going to be brainwashed by Corporate Nintendo/Sony/MSFT, and if you're a power PC gamer (we're a dying breed btw) you'll ignore this.

Again, Steam is targeting a dying market. Because all that's left in Western society is lower/upper class. Middle is DOA.

Guess I’m gonna have to learn how to be one at these insane prices
