Let's just hope Duane Brown and Kam Chancellor aren't hurt too badly. Hopefully the extra few days provided by playing on a Thursday and the not playing again until the Monday after next will be enough time to recover. As devastating as the Sherman injury is, losing Brown and Chancellor for any significant length of time would compound that devastation even more. Hopefully Thomas will be good to go on the 20th as well. Atlanta might not have played like the defending conference champs up to this point in the season, but it's still going to be a tough game even with those 3 healthy enough to play. Without them, it'll be that much tougher.

Like others have said, costly win last night. Things will definitely be tougher w/o Sherm, but hopefully Shead is able to return soon & Shaq keeps it rolling. The Lane failed physical looks like a blessing now; most here think he sucks but I'm not in that camp. He's a decent nickel guy and would be one of the best 4th corners in the league if it comes to that. Maybe a look at B-Max is looming.

Our players were dropping like flies in the 2nd half, but I don't think those injuries were very serious except for Sherm's and probably Prosise (what's new?). I bet all those guys will be on the field in 11 days for the MNFer vs Atlanta.

Really thought we would be 7-2 going into the Falcons game, but 6-3 isn't too far off I suppose. We need some serious help for a 1st round bye, but the good news is the Rams & Eagles still play each other, and we get both of those teams at home. We are probably looking at 3 or 4 seed unless we really catch fire here, so that stupid penalty-fest vs Redskins is a killer.

And speaking of the flags, some of those last night that extended AZ drives were just straight bs. It's tough to get a feel for it when you're at the game, but watching on the tv made it pretty obvious how bogus many of those calls were. You have the DB hitting Lockett before the ball arrives on that deep throw, then Shaq gets flagged for much less vs Fitz later on. That's just one example. Phantom hands to the face on Coleman, bogus PI on Lane. Just would be nice if it was called evenly. It got to the point where I didn't even care if we stopped them on 3rd down because I knew a bail out flag would appear.

Anyway, glad we have a mini bye. The team needs to heal up, and my eyes need a break from yellow overload.
