Weird episode, though. A ton of plot advancement for Mando, essentially none for Fett. Why was this episode part of this show?

Not a great sign that the best episode of the season doesn’t have the title character in it.
I am seeing almost this exact take on multiple places on the net. Like i said, great episode, but not a good sign at all for this show specifically.

Meh. I ain't complaining. It was a great episode. More Bryce Dallas Howard directed episodes and less Robert Rodriguez episodes please

Pretty decent episode but I thought it peaked early. Didn't care too much about the mechanic or Mando's new ship all that much. I wonder if that's the same ship Anakin flew in Episode 1. I noticed Mando tried spinning. It is a neat trick after all.

I think Mando might convince Boba Fett to trade ships at the end of the season. Aside from the sentimental value Slave 1 has, I think it would make sense for both parties if Boba is really giving up bounty hunting and taking a permanent residence at Jabba's. Mando's new ship might be fast and good in a dog fight but seems rather useless for transporting his cargo and allowing for his frequent travelling companions, not to mention Mando seemingly lived on his ship in the first 2 seasons of his show.

I'm pretty sure its Anakin's ship. It's heavily implied. And yeah, I'd guess its only temporary. As a bounty hunter, its not really all that useful to him. He basically traded an RV for a luxury sports car.

Apparently the call sign writing is different on the Mando version, so most likely not Anakin's ship.

It was a great episode. But should have been an episode of The Mandalorian.

Mando needs a new ship that can cargo this starfighter. Like the Cowboy Bebop.

Anyway they can sell more toys if his new cargo ship is a different model.

I hope we see an eventual showdown between Mando and the Death Watch. They're a bag of dicks.

The bitching is overstated. It is legit and earned, but overstated nonetheless.
Doesn't that sum up Star Wars fandom in general?

I haven't caught the latest episode but it's absolutely a step down from Mando and Clone Wars.

Rodridguz isn't anywhere his Desperado days anymore. Too much time making Spy Kids.

Howard should replace him as full-time showrunner in Season 2.

Is she more of a behind the scenes mover nowadays? Any idea if she has the long term love of the product that would match a Filoni or Favreau?

Ok, I'm caught up but now way more excited for the next episode of Mandalorian.

The mechanic lady reminds me of an old boss I had at Toys R Us back in the day. Same haircut and mannerisms.

I don't know about that, but I've enjoyed the episodes she's directed so far.

No clue but believe that she’s in that new Jurassic World movie coming out this year.

Animated Luke was better this time around, but the tech still has room for improvement.

As a true student, shouldn’t Grogu have to find his own Kyber crystal and build his own saber? Luke was given his first saber, but that was a special situation. Giving Grogu a saber, while in an actual school with an actual teacher goes against the Jedi way. Luke may not know that (though he did build his own saber after he lost Anakin’s), but Ahsoka should have told him about the custom.

Anyway, it looks like Boba Fett has been cancelled and Mandalorian is airing as the mid-season replacement.

Clone Wars is essential viewing before this episode, imo.
