That trailer is fire, hope the show lives up to it.

Hopefully the fact that they are getting 12 episodes instead of the typical 6 Disney+ has been giving a lot of shows means Andor will have room to stretch its legs and tell a good story. The 6 episode limit has left plenty of series rushing things. Though the opposite was true with Obi-Wan, which was more of a movie that they had to stretch into 6 episodes.

Rogue One is still the best they've done since the original trilogy, so big hopes for this show.

The animated series’ have been solid. And Mandelorian is good as well. I would rate all of that ahead of Rogue One. Not taking anything away from R1, though. Decent movie. #3 or #4 in overall movie rank, imho.

Agreed, all of that's good. For such a big and revered franchise, they've have released more than their share of terrible movies, but they do have a few good projects.

When 5 of the 11 movies (ignoring the Christmas Special and the 2 Ewok films) are utter garbage and 2 of them are passable at best (mainly because the animated content has saved those movies), you don’t have a good track record at all

I think people like the IDEA of Star Wars more than they actually like Star Wars.

Not really... Star Wars has ton of potential, the problem is that Lucas/Disney keeps releasing garbage that, because of the fans, remains financially succesful.

I think the only time they felt financial backlash was with Solo, mostly because of the terrible sequel trilogy.

I think we are saying the same thing.

Actual Star Wars product (7, 8, 9, Solo, BoBF, Obiwan) is garbage, but the fans still love “Star Wars”

i havent yet watched Obiwon or BOBF... not sure if i will... but this one has a different look and feeling to it... Really less STAR WARSy... maybe because the idea of it is not from the original trilogy... i think this might be the refreshing take the STAR WARS franchise needs...

The trailer looked stew-pid, though. All those engines (or whatever the fuck those were supposed to be) flying all over the place was just dumb. It had a sense of a blatant attempt at a video game level.

I'm sorry, but the heavy Corporate lieutenant with the Scottish accent had me thinking 'Fat Bastard' the entire time.

Other than that, pretty good start.

You know what makes this show different I think?...the script, screenplay, costuming and even the minimal special effects make it seem way more realistic. Like this could be a vision of our space faring future.

No hero-tastic cringy lines, no wizard magic, just real people trying to survive and fight the good fight.

The only cringe worthy performance was the leader of the blue coats, what's up with that freak and his Debbie downer facial expressions?
