If that's the case and I'm her, I demand a massive salary jump right now and some sort of timeline to become head coach. Otherwise there are so many opportunities that are coming up for her. Pelicans are young and have a lot of talent throughout the roster. That's a great landing spot for any up and coming coach. Might even be better than what the Spurs have going on TBH.

Stan should just stick to media at this point. He's very good in the role and his coaching is producing diminishing returns (even though the Pels did start to get better as the season went along).
