I've been considering getting a set of SS pots and pans and tossing some of our older pieces that had nonstick coatings that haven't worked in some time. From a quick look on amazon, the cuisinart MCP -12N seems to be getting a lot of good reviews both on that site and others.

Anyone have experience with this set or SS in general?

Your attachment may not show up for some so I'll re-post it for you as a link.
(This site seems to not like "https" links but "http" works fine)

Hard to go wrong with SS imo and the set you linked looks to be a decent set (and affordable). You will experience a learning curve going from non-stick to stainless so don't get frustrated.

Good old cast iron is another option if you're still in the decision making process. I personally use a combination of both but use the cast iron 90% of the time.

Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

We bought the Emeril Lagasse stainless cookware set about a decade ago, and they are as good as new today. Great pans.

Cast iron....I'm loving my cast iron, but I will say this.

If you buy the enamel coated product...(we have a LeCreuset set and a Staub pc with enamel coating), you never really deal with seasoning and you'll likely never buy another set.

I also have some American made Lodge stuff...a dbl sided griddle (that I will post a review on in a few days)...very affordable and consistent with the even cooking surface that you come to love with cast iron. But...even though they say preseasoned....they require additional seasoning before you can really use them with delicate foods such as pancakes or eggs.

I'm a big Lodge fan. They started shop literally about an hour from where I live.

I forget the brand name, but I bought my wife a set like that for about that price about 10 years ago and they are still kicking.
