Interesting study from PFF based on the 2014 season.

1. Stafford was pressured on 31.8% of his drop-backs. Not a terrible percentage comparatively.

2. Stafford was decent under pressure.

3. Stafford was poor when facing no pressure.

He's like Favre in that he's actually better once the play breaks down. Maybe Calvin has something to do w that.

So he's no better with Calvin than without him. Trade Calvin to Miami for Suh. Of course, Miami would never be dumb enough to do that.

Kind of correlates with my post on th other thread about why paying CJ 20 million a year is a waste. I still don't think 5 games is big enough sample to say right or wrong. However does show you might not need a 20 mill a year WR to get same results.

Possibly, but he's still awesome to watch play. I'm not bitching. Lions could arguably have the greatest WR and RB ever to play their career's in Detroit. Ford should have both of those guy's made custom Ford Mustang's with ball massagers on the drivers seats.

Enjoy it while it lasts it took us years to finally get a mediocre QB and when Stafford is gone it'll probably be years before we get another :bored2:

We can always give Kitna another tryout.

I do love watching him play. I just get so frustrated watching a guy with all the tools never open his toobox, except for a handful of games.

I've heard many reasons why I should just wait and he will develop. All the while we are watching other younger QBs do just that. Develop to me means you see improvement yearly. I started to see the same guy from three years ago, last year. His fundamentals and mechanics need change. He may never change his game. Time will tell, but I'm just a hater because I want a QB to fix his flaws. Stomp is right about mediocre. He will be stuck at that level for a career. Some homers accept that, I don't.

Stomp by no means am I calling you a homer. Your football IQ is way higher than a casual fan.
