day one

this draft is deep on the o/line , d/line olb , rb te , not so much qb or safety

i expect us to draft perhaps very differently then we all think with te and RB playing a higher role then the need could indicate

here is what i saw today

TJ clemmings OT 6-5 305 lbs . potential to be the best Ot in the draft , much better in all phases the scherf
donovan smith OT 6-5 340lbs if he gets his hands on you you are through could be a good 2nd or 3rd rounder if we take BPA in 1st round
trenton brown OT 6-8 370 lbs same as above , just a mountain
rob havenstien OT wis , 6-8 330 lbs typical wis , o/lineman good swing guy to replace compton

DT danny shelton 6-1 339 unblockable
DT carl davis 6-4 314 LBS same as above

OG lake tomlinson 6-3 325 lbs another great OG prospect perhaps in round 3

TE nick boyle 6-5 273 lbs good hands , best blocker in draft at TE (right now ) also long snapper
TE ben koyack 6-4 261 same as above great blocker

S adrian amos 6-0 215 good day in coverage vs top WRs
CB/S eric rowe utah 6-1 201 can play either position and play them well . utah interchanged him according to need

RB tyler varga 5-11 225 speed , hands , also has KR ability

I don't know many of these players and I don't know how Amos will do in the NFL but he was a very good DB at Penn State.

Mike Hull just had knee surgery two weeks ago but he is going to play in the Senior Bowl. His NFL measureables aren't that great but he was a beast at ILB at Penn State. Not many people thought NaVorro Bowman was going to be one of the best LBers in the NFL when he came out. One thing I like that McCloughan said was he was interested in game tape. I believe that is very true.

clive walford , TE 6-4 251 . big play TE hard to pass on him

la el collins Ot 6-4 305 LBS another good tackle

garret grayson qb 6-2 220lbs best qb in the game very accurate

jaquisly tart cb/s 6-1 198 good tall athletic

dezmin lewis wr 6-3 210 tall good hands another grant but taller

tre jackson OG 6-3 323 lbs OG another very good RG , this draft has them

shaq mason OG ga tech he had a good day in pass protection

tomlinson did very well vs shelton and shelton had a big day as did carl davis at DT

robert myers OG 6-2 330 lbs tenn st. small school guy had rough 1st day but came back strong day 2

we would be foolish not to draft an OG in this draft . from round 3-5 we can find value there

got to see prewitt up close vs talent

he won his battles vs the miami TE clive walford , considered the best TE in the draft

i like his length his technique , the way he plays

we should strongly consider him
