And if so, does the regular season soon follow suit as well?
Reports: Spring training expected to be suspended

Everybody has decided to stop living.
I'm less bothered by the number of games than the total length of schedule. I miss the old almost-weekly doubleheaders, which went a long way toward reducing the number of days that it takes to complete a season. We might very well see a bunch of those if they shorten the schedule, which is looking more likely by the day. There are too many baseball games anyway. End spring training, cut the season by half when it resumes, and kill a round of playoffs.
Curses are for Cubs fans.Sox are still cursed. Most anticipated team in a while and the World says we can't have nice things.
Well, it's official. ST has been cancelled and opening day postponed for at least two weeks.
Opening Day delayed at least 2 weeks; Spring Training games cancelled
Never heard of'em.Curses are for Cubs fans.
I haven't seen any updates as to how they will proceed with the shortened season. As in, will all 162 games be played, or will they simply chop off the games that will have been missed during the cancellation period. And before they resume, will there be any preseason games resumed to get the players back in regular season form. Stuff like that. Seems like they're operating on the fly right now.Halting spring training will result in more player injuries down the road.
I don't quite get the baseball stoppage. I get keeping the fans away. Without the fans - these guys ought to be going to work - just like other Americans with jobs.
