Spring Sports Athletes Get Redshirt Year

Nothing for winter sports cut short, but I'm glad they did this.

It was the right thing to do.

I'm hoping the NCAA won't have to make a similar decision for fall sports...

I think fall sports will be ok. The CDC recommended an 8 week shutdown. I think that it's likely to see things slowly reopen sometime in May. Certainly by July. Listening to the director of the CDC, their best guess is that it will fade during summer and reemerge next winter. (He said there's no evidence it will, but that is typical of a virus of this type)

I feel bad for the kids playing basketball that won't get their shot in the dance. That kid at a small school who would have made a splash and become a household name for two weeks, and maybe more. I was thinking about Stephen Curry. Small school kid who proved himself in March and became a star.
