Easy, Ron Dayne kicked George's ass as a college player.

Ron Dayne TWO 2000 yard seasons. Dayne had TWO 2000 yard rushing seasons and total yards from scrimmage.
Eddie George ONE. total yards from scrimmage

Eddie George is a way better player than Dayne as proved in the NFL, but in college, Dayne was a monster. Dayne played against a lot of 18 and 19 year olds, who were not finished growing yet, so Dayne could dominate them.

BTW, 1997 Michigan did not face Ron Dayne. Dayne was injured

@iowajerms, just a thought, but to make this a little more fair, perhaps breaking these up by decade next year. All heisman winners of the 70s together, 80's, 90's, and so on.

Technically you could leave off the 80's because again, Sanders wins it hands down in my opinion, although it is probably the decade with the best players.

I just think that may bring more parity when discussing this because Sanders, Walker, and Jackson are the top 3 for everyone with a clue.

Easy. Eddie George.

Put Ron Dayne at Ohio State and he is on the bench. Put Eddie George at Wisconsin and he runs for 2,000 more yards than Ron Dayne.
