I have a few questions, but the only one I really don't get is:

'Nova at 5?

Do they even have one really good win this season? They might I just can't think of it.

4 top 50 RPI wins to date. 4-2 against the top 50, 9-2 against the top 100. No bad losses.

Have wins over VCU and Butler who are currently ranked.

And I'll admit, 3-8, are tough to rank IMO.

If you play the game that way, then neither do Gonzaga and Wisconsin.

And if Gonzaga hasn't beaten anybody, then Arizona hasn't beaten anybody either.

Huh? You know there is a difference between "has beaten nobody" and "is nobody" right?

Ummm, what? Arizona has beaten two top 10 teams. When did I ever talk about Gonzaga or Wisconsin?

How many blowout losses do any of those teams have? Look, I like Villanova. I've met Jay and he is really cool. But that's not a FF caliber team, plain and simple, just like last year.

Yea, that powerhouse Utah.

And Gonzaga. Both wins coming at home. And barely beating Gonzaga.

I'm not saying Nova is a powerhouse, but neither is anybody else in that 4-10 range.

Go ahead and put Arizona ahead of em. Wisconsin, Kansas too. So, now, what are we 8th instead of 5th? Not a big difference. :noidea:

Admit it. You're just in it to trash Nova.

Whether a team is one of the top 4-8 teams in the country if we were playing a 7 game series or whether a team can make the Final 4 are two different things, so your point is useless. And I do believe most experts would put Nova in that Top 8, but I digress.

Can we make the Final 4? Yes. Can 2015 Butler? Yes.

Also, and this is a bit of a rant, but it's easy to sit there as a Arizona/UK/Kansas/Duke fan and trash Nova year after year for not having the talent to be elite when you guys get 3 McD AA every year. We play for different things. I'll be the first to admit Villanova can never win the National Championship. Can we make the Final 4? Yes.

Anyway, snowed in rant.

You and the rest of the folks up there, stay warm! :suds:
Thanks Trolly.

Only 2 inches out of the expected 18 inches fell but decision to close work came yesterday. 11% accuracy ain't bad in weather forecasting. In college basketball not so much.

Not sure why you're so dismissive about Nova. Saying a team that is a consensus top 10 team in all metrics, #6 RPI, #8 BPI, #7 Ken Pom, #8 Sagarin, is certainly capable of making the FF. Would I bet they make the FF, probably not, because it's hard to make the FF. Some of the best regular season teams the last 5 years have failed to make it.

I mean hell, I'm sure you thought the same thing about Uconn last year too. Don't forget in early March, Louisville beat them by like 40 or something.

Anything can happen in a one and done tournament. The only team I'd bet on making the FF would be Kentucky.
