guess I'll go

1. Ohio State- why is hardly anyone ranking Ohio State number one???? They return every talented player except Jon Diebler, don't get me wrong, Diebler was a great player but still this team is loaded. I'd say I trust them more then the other two.
2. North Carolina- They have just a loaded team, so far everyone has them as the overall top pick to win it all, I don't see that happening but another final four could well be in store.
3. Kentucky- Calipari doesn't have to start completely over this year which is something new, he actually returns some players on this team, the experience will help in March.
4. Syracuse- this is the unsung great team of this year, no ones really talking about them and just putting them in their top 25
5. Duke- Blue Devils will be good again.
6. Vandypants- They return all their key players from last years team, will be a great regular season team, big question, can they win a first round game???
7. Connecticut- The loss of Kemba Walker will hurt but a lot of their young players did play good at the end of the year, still it will be interesting to see how they fare without Kemba.
8. Louisville- They return a lot of starters from a great team last year, they probably don't want to see Morehead State though.
9. Pittsburgh- this should be a great regular season team before losing in the 2nd round of the tournament again.
10. Xavier- lots of returning starters on this team, their center is suspended so size could be a worry.
11. Wisconsin- yet another consistant program, should be another good year for them.
12. Baylor- they have a ton of talent, if they don't turn it over this year this team will win the Big 12.
13. Arizona- great tournament run for them last year, they do lose Derrick Williams
14. Marquette- this should be a good team
15. Florida- returns a good amount of starters from a team that made the elite 8.
16. Alabama- lots of returning starters for this team, they look to have a breakout year.
17. Gonzaga- they struggled a bit last year, don't expect that to happen again this year.
18. UCLA- they will be looking to finally get back to being good again.
19. Kansas- usually they're a consistant program but they lost A LOT, we've seen a lot of big programs in the past few years lose a lot of players and fade to mediocrity for awile so this is a team that I'm not bought on.
20. New Mexico returns most of their big players, the MWC has produced great teams the past few years New Mexico looks like that team this year.
21. Cincinnati- they return a lot from what turned out to be a good team last year.
22. Texas A&M - they're in coaching limbo right now, that's what hurts this team's ranking
23. Temple- they return quite a bit from a good team last year
24. IPFW Mastodons- Mastodons will dominate, but I'm not sure if people are ready to see them in the spot they belong
25. Boise State- homer vote

BRB another score in the Toledo/NIU game

7. Gonzaga (These guys return 5 of their best six players from a team that played like a top 25 team for most of the end of last season. They also have a proven coach known for player improvement).

18. Xavier
19. Baylor
20. Wisconsin (No depth. If it wasn't for my tremendous faith in JT and Bo, these guys wouldn't be ranked. Seriously, 4 out of our 5 starters could be benchwarmers on most NIT teams)
21. Alabama
22. Marquette
23. Illinois

Both of these teams are returning most of their best players from a team that made the final 32 last year. How can you not "see the hype"?

Edit: Actually, Memphis lost in the round of 64, but lost a close game to a great team when the refs were definitely not favoring them.

yeah we didn't get enough votes, sorry

thanks to those of you who did vote

we'll try this again after preseason tournaments, if we don't get enough then we likely won't have a basketball poll.

I want to see how UGA does in the CBE Classic in a couple of days, if they do decent -I might actually pay attention to CBB this season.

I'll vote after a week or 2.... Still too early to really know how good all of these teams are.

I'm going to post my top 25 at the moment, no system this time though

by the way the day after Christmas I'll start up the voting for the poll and see how it goes

anyways back to my top 25

1. Ohio State- they lost but it was without their top player
2. Syracuse
3. Baylor
4. Xavier
5. Louisville
6. Indiana- why not??
7. Kentucky
8. Duke
9. Missouri
10. Marquette
11. North Carolina
12. Kansas
13. Connecticut
14. Wisconsin
15. Pitt
16. Florida
17. UNLV
18. Harvard
19. Georgetown
20. Murray State
21. Illinois
22. Mississippi State
23. Creighton
24. San Diego State
25. Alabama

this feels like a congested top 25

others that are really close: Mac Attack, Michigan State, Vandypants, Gonzaga, Michigan, Wyoming, Saint Louis, Texas A&M, Seton Hall, Providence, Campbell Fighing Camels(hey they only have one loss and it's against Creighton), Minnesota, Tulane, Cleveland State, Northern Iowa, and Boise State(at home only though, on the road they go in the bottom 10)
