I don't know if any of you have been paying attention to it, but here is what I have so far.

21. Eric Kendrick, LB, UCLA
53. Xavier Cooper, DT, Washington State
85. Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas State

Really reaching for a linebacker there aren't you?

Kendrick is small, doesn't rush the passer and doesn't make plays behind the line of scrimmage. We can just give him Keith Rivers old jersey and call it a day.

Kendricks is a top 20 prospect. Many have him going as high as 14.

He is the best player at his position which is a huge position of need. He is a 3 down player who plays very much like Levonte David. I'll take that at 21 every time. Especially since Burfict may not be there much longer.

Kendricks in the 2nd round would be fine. At 21 seems like a reach.

He is also 2 pounds smaller than CJ Mosley who was in the running for DROY last year and 5 pounds lighter than Shazier. Both were top 20 pick.

Who? Maybe I'm dumb because I only read the mocks from the big sites.... Kinda like listening to the big bands rather than the indie bands. But honestly I haven't seen him higher than 25.

I can't remember who exactly had him 14th.

Here is one where we take him: SI Mock Draft: Bengals select UCLA LB Eric Kendricks - Cincy Jungle

Here is one where he goes 16th: 2015 NFL mock draft: Different voices change the 1st round - SBNation.com

And even if he is slotted 25-30th where yes I see him more often, thats not a big reach like you are talking in your first post. Especially when he is far and away the best all around LB in this draft and this is a poor LB draft. We always bitch cause we can't cover the TE, but when I talk about drafting someone who can really cover you don't like it......

Well, as long as he is not taking Burfict's spot for good, I am okay with the pick I suppose. Burfict, when healthy is the best player on this defense without question, and the undisputed leader.

He may be out another year, but I can see him making a recovery and playing at least 80% of what he used to, which is better than 100% of the linebackers we have ever had.

I am still a Burfict fan.

If you plan to replace Lamur with Kendrick, I am cool with that at some point.

I would still prefer a OT in the first round if one of the top 6 tackles are available.

well, if LB is the best available, we're the team that just signed the on record worst starting MLB in the NFL, but yeah, OT is a huge issue for us, we're obviously planning on drafting one.

If Burfict comes back healthy of course he plays. But you can put Burfict in the middle and Kendricks at WLB where he excels at chasing down plays and is very good in coverage. We would finally have someone that would be able to cover a TE. And we could push Burfict to the middle and Rey to SLB where he belongs.

I'm against an OT but if we have to take one I hope it's Collins or Flowers. I don't like Peat at all. He plays like a giant teddy bear out there. I think he could he very Johnathan Martin like in his play where he just isn't mean enough. If it's not Collins or Flowers then it's even worse.

Now you are not just talking about personnel decisions but actually moving guys out of position on the field. Do you really think Marvin would move Maualuga? Also, doesn't the SLB cover the TE typically since they are the guy lined up on the strong side with the TE?

Burfict is a natural MLB. We moved him out of position. Also didn't Rey already play SLB at one point?

we're screwed. we 90% have to draft an OT no matter what.

one of the other afcn teams will probably draft OL just to F with us.

I prefer Shaq to Kendricks, but they don't draft LB early anyway, so no sense arguing over it
