Doesn't matter who they draft. Bigger question is who will the next regime keep and who'll go up for sale?

So you are saying there is nothing at all the Lions could do, no one they could draft, no trade they could make, absolutely nothing they can do that could make them as good of a team?

Even players that fall in the draft? Moving up, using next years picks etc. it's just over without Suh?

I'm opposed to taking a RB in the first round.

I am hearing some talk that Waddells injury have some permanent effect. That would make me lean towards O-line earlier, but until I hear something official I will refrain. BPA out of the 4 positions we have needs for (CB, OL, DL, RB). Because we only have 3 picks, we will have to either ignore 1 of the 4 or trade back and get an extra pick. I would trade back a few spots in the first and pick up the extra pick an go from there.

FACT- No team has ever won a Super Bowl without Suh on the roster in the history of forever.

NFL mock draft 2.0: Needs shift in wake of free agency

I know mocks are a pointless waste of time...I can't stop looking at them.

This one has us taking Melvin Gordon. I must say that pick would be exciting.

Anyone else like that pick?
I would dislike that pick immensely.

I think Gordon was product of that o-line and system. In my opinion he'll still be good NFL running back, but he's not the elite kind of back that he needs to be to justify 1st round pick on a historically risky position.

I would of liked it before the combine. Before I saw Gordon was just an above average athlete instead of a very good to elite athlete.

I think he's still going to be a good back, I just think a back has to pretty much be a home run to make the 1st round pick worth while. Idk if he good enough to bet on him being "special" like that... might be a good pick-up for the SeaHawks or Patriots right at the end of the round, though...

I'd be thrilled with him with our 2nd round pick if he fell that far, though. He'd be a good 1st and 2nd down back with the versatile Bell being our 3rd down specialist...

Wow. He had the 2nd best season ever as a running back. Sure you have to be in the right system to do that but dang...
I don't know how you formed your opinion of Gordon TP, but Ill give you mine. I think from his first day in the NFL he will be the most ripped guy. Looks like Peterson or Murray only bigger. He has great balance, vision, and an explosive first step, cuts back.
He will go in the first round, as no running back has done in the past 2 drafts. I think he will be one of the top backs in the league for whoever grabs him. I would be willing to bet the he doesnt get by the Cowboys.

It's over for this regime without Suh. Absolutely. I know it. You know it. They know it. That's why they tried so hard to keep him and kept such a confident face about keeping him up until the very last minute.

They know what losing him means.

Wow. Sounds like you got a real boner for the guy...

I would like to see them trade down and get some more picks. Coleman a little later or a DT a little later makes more sense than hoping a guy slides.

If they stick with the pick I do hope Peat falls. He would solidify the Tackle position him and Reif for years.

Austin > Suh (or any other player)

I remember when you said Andre Fluellen could step in for Suh and Austin's D wouldn't miss a beat. Obviously you're a big Austin supporter and expect big things this year.

Gordan in the first would not make me happy.

Id much rather have the best back from The BIG.
