Spike Albrecht has announced that he is done with college basketball. His hips were causing too many problems. So much respect for this guy. The amount of pain he was dealing with and still playing is impressive. I wish him nothing but the best.

Spike is a Bright/tough kid. I enjoyed watching him play, he gave it his all every time that I have seen him play. I hope nothing but good is in front of this kid in whatever he does in life. He will be missed

I believe it's a natural issue, with his hips being inverted. The hip comes in and out of socket, and the cartilage (the labrum) and nerves in his hip are pinched on the bone, which he had shaved off. It's the same injury that ended Johnny Flynns career after one year in the NBA
