Just behind Tiger and just ahead of Jack.

Give the guy credit for at least trying to settle down the crowd afterwards as well!

That was a hell of a shot.

He needed that bad because the wheels were really starting to fall off.

a great comment was made after that shot

20% of his wins are as a result of chip ins from the bunker

Yep...he righted the ship on 15, but 12-14 he was leaking oil badly.

The shot was a great one, but it's wasn't a particularly hard shot for a pro...with a small bucket of balls on a Monday, he probably jars 5 or 6 of them.

He may never be as good as Tiger, but clearly Spieth is the new Tiger on tour. The guy moves the needle more than any current player (for sure stateside) and he seems to make the pressure shots more than any other player.

Yea, I would probably agree with that. I love Rory but Spieth is much more adored here in the states.
He is a real easy guy to like and I love the fact that it's back up by major wins.

I like how you get all of the raw emotions for Spieth too. It kinda makes up for how much of a zombie Dustin Johnson turned out to be.

My boss, knows next to nothing about golf, but he knows the "Longhorn" golfer...lol, of course he's from TX as well.

Spieth is an easy player to like as you said. Has a special needs sister and I like how they don't try to hide her in a closet...he was having fun with her on the fairway I saw once. Spieth has that flair for the dramatic.

As you've probably heard me say before, I don't really root for golfers, I like seeing my favorites play well, but the chips fall where they may on the results.

There are several that I like...Rory is one of them, Spieth of course. DJ comes off as a sour puss. The media quickly let go of his drug issues and has really pumped up imo. Enormous talent, but he'll never touch the amount endorsement money that Spieth will.

I dunno about that. Maybe, but I still think Rory is the most dominant when his game is on.

As far as most popular, probably Phil. Atleast as far as crowds on the course go.

Rory...no question at least compared to Spieth.

But, we're seeing a lot more "game not really on" periods from him. When his game was put on question he responded with I've got $200 million...Rory knows he's arrived, I'm sure he badly wants the career slam, hopefully he keeps pushing the envelope on the course.

Phil...eehh. Yeah, he's got the credentials and if in contention, the old guard fans would probably favor him over Jordan, but Phil is at the end...kind of moving into that Ernie Els stage...not done, but not really a threat in the big events.
