I realized this last night as it came on TV and I watched it.

Just subtract the part where a bus loaded with 5 tons of people somehow flies over a 50 foot gap, and I'd say it's a pretty dang good movie.

I think you'd be surprised if you watched the movie again now........compared to the way most movies are made today, I actually appreciated this movie way more than I did back in the day. There is a reason why the critics rated it so high

Might be good advice. But I don't really watch many movies, and am currently sitting on a stack that were lent to me for my trip to floridia and I haven't watched a single one of those.

I don't watch many newer movies anymore at all........such poor producing and directing anymore. I find a couple good movies every year, but I think overall the best movies are older ones

Probably true. But to give you an idea of how rarely I watch movies, I just caught the hurt locker three weeks ago when I was sick.

Speed is freakin awesome.

I know I know extremly old movie but it is on television right now.

What I don't get is when Jake is on the train he speeds it up? If he can do that then all he has to do is to pull the lever to "slow" and make it come to a crawling stop? No?

Just doesn't make sense.
