Morocco, Tunisia, & Algeria in the 90's...and then Egypt in 2003.

Egypt, especially Cairo, have made huge strides in expanding their history. The Pyramids have uncovered more area and really expanded the experience. Same at Luxor and Saqqara.
The long drive or short flight to Abu Simbel is worth it.
