I wondered if maybe was because without arguably the GOAT he was a middling coach at best. Guess same could be said of Bill Walsh (not the GOAT but damn good QB) and he also did not get in on 1st try.

I’ve thought Belichick was overrated for a while but he deserves to be first ballot HOF, he won 6 Super Bowls after all, and while I think Brady was mostly responsible for the Pats success any coach that wins 6 titles should be a first ballot HOFer.

Apparently, as we’ve seen recently in Minnesota, it’s not enough to have weapons. You have to know how and when to use them. Bill knew how to use his.

Whatever. The HOF is a giant joke. The fact Pete Rose still isn't in but all the roided up players were, highlights the stupidity and bias across multiple sports.

Agreed, he should be first ballot, but he’s not the greatest coach ever and I definitely think Brady was the one most responsible for the Pats dynasty, not Belichick.

The Pats were on their way down & Brady couldnt sustain that team. Went to an ideal situation & flourished.
If Belichick left the Pats & Brady stayed. Brady would have looked bad at that time. There's no doubt. There was already talk he should retire.
Then whats the narrative. Brady couldnt succeed without Belichick? Which also would be false.
I truly believe they benefited each other.

But ask yourself,

How great would Reid be without Mahaomes, Bill Walsh without Montana, Chuck Noll without Bradshaw.

No member of the HOF committee should go down this road when voting.

Obviously entitled to your opinion but Billy Boy was not quite as good with the Browns either AND he was a terrible GM. MIGHT Brady have looked bad at nearly 40 (or over 40) on the Pats? Maybe......but what about Prime Brady with those teams.

Cannot know I get it so what we do know is Billy was a middling coach with no Brady and Brady had a lot of success with Bill.

He did.....but also had mostly middling or bad seasons other than that year. In addition, he was a god awful GM here.

Need to move Head Coaches,other Coaches,Front Office people,Owners to their own group so then we wouldn't be having all these retried Head Coaches waiting to get in meaning more then one has a chance to get in each year. Also it's okay to have go into the Evening because NBA/NHL lot get in e each year.
