I am expecting all 12 members to make one post in this thread. If not then you won't be asked back next year per @The Q

Even if you just want to say My team sucks or great season. Whatever it is. Say something.

Another fun season comes to an end.

As far as my team goes.

This was not one of my "best" teams but it was a solid team. I think I benefitted a little bit from an unusual year of scores being unusually low and that is not anyone's fault. Just the way college football was this year. I found many of my wins this year coming with 110-115ish point in which most years I think you could say you may lose at least half of those if not more then half. I had a 151 and a good handful for games in the 120-135 area including the championship game. I think at the start of the year the End Zone Divas looked dangerous in the division and by the end of the year the Waxy Frogs did. Winsley had an off team. Could score 70 or 150 the next week.

I am going to try and keep this as tame as I can since Q will likely be the only one to actually read it (Q is the man and deserves to win a title because of things like this)

Sorry, I am typing this fast so hopefully will all make sense (again, not that anyone but Q will read)

Overall for my team

QB
Avery Johnson was ok, not as good as last year and not as good as I had hoped but decent. The problem was he had some really low scoring games which he did not have last year. He capped his season off with his lowest score of the year (5) against Colorado in the championship game. Horrible timing but was ale to overcome that. Runs way less then I would have expected him to run. I thought he didn't run enough last year like I expected and he ran even less this year. When he did run he was really good though.

DJ Lagway was a big time letdown for me. I was a little fearful of that with his schedule and then HC Billy Napier being a cruddy playcaller/offense but I wanted to have fun this year and take some of my favorite players. Reality is he wasn't good fantasy wise but I should have started him in the title game over Avery Johnson (Who would have thunk?) I did start him a few times and while not that successful it was fun to use him.

Conner Weigman- He was a find for me. Very similar story to Kyle McCord of last year for me. A guy who has been around and highly recruited but never really had put it together yet. Like McCord (Ashton Daniels) I was going to take another QB over Weigman (Pribula) but the double bye week deflected my 4th QB decision. At first I told myself I shouldn't have worried about it as Pribula was great. Pribula ended up getting injured and when he returned his injury clearly was still hampering him. It took me awhile to believe in Weigman's success at first. I started off with Lagway and Beck on a week to week basis. I then gave up on Lagway and thought I was going to have to roll with Beck most of the rest of the way. Weigman could not longer be ignored. Ended up a huge fantasy piece for me this year and the MVP of the title game. McCord threw a lot of td passes, Weigman ran a lot. They have very similar Asian Alley Cats legendary stories. McCord also had a good title game for me last year.

The rest- Carson Beck, Joey Aguilar- They did what they needed to. Aguilar I had to start twice and one was one of his best starts of the year the other was average. Beck started a decent amount for me and was "ok", but Johnson and Weigman were better.

RB- This was sorta my injury prone position this year. Brown was solid when healthy but missed basically have the season. Didn't get the TD's I was hoping for that I got out of him last year. He did run for a lot of yards when healthy. If he stays healthy I would have been a lot more confident in my team.
Jamal Haynes turned out to be a regretful pick. A guy in which I sat in the Airport depending before take off for about 2 hours (before I was even on the clock) at first I thought it didn't really matter as he was decent and everyone else I thought about was sorta meh.. By the end of the year the guy I almost took initially Baugh and the guy I almost took last minute, Martin were way better be seasons end.
CJ Baxter is my Jauan Jennings. Player I love but just not meant to be with me. Always injured when I have them. 2 years, 2 starts (rd 1 and 8) and yet 0 total fantasy points when started. Enough said. Rueben Owens saved me from my Brown injury/Baxter/Haynes blunder as he was able to come in and start for me when Brown went down.. Only to get hurt late in the year in which King Miller was good enough to throw out there. My RB unit was really banged up this year but I lucked out that someone always stepped up when needed. Owens took over the starting role when I needed him the most and my only good FA pickup of the year King Mille was able to help out. Of course when Brown went down I picke dup Keyjuan Brown and after his first game which was very good he went down. The rest of this unit was pretty injury but one.

Kewan Lacy- I have had a lot of steals in Soul 12 history but this is one of my biggest. I remember throwing him out there week 1 because I didn't know who to start at Flex and Lacy was great from day 1. Never looked back. Perhaps my MVP this year from start to finish.

Jordan Lyle was a terrible decision by me and I regretted it soon after I did it. Just a player I like but should have known the carries wouldn't have been there for him. He would have been better had he stayed healthy though and he wasn't healthy all year. Drafted him with the YOLO attitude. Just wanted him but deep down knew it wasn't the best pick. Oh well. At least I can say I drafted him and I get a nice OB trading card of him now. Reescano started off well but another guy that got hurt at RB for me and missed a lot of the season. The cool thing was I did get to start him one time, Week 13 when I had byes and injuries at RB and Reescano scored 3 touchdowns that week. Great memory/moment for Reescano and I. We hugged and cried after the game. King Miller my only good waiver claim of year was ok. Did well when I needed him the most but until Owens went down thankfully didn't need to over rely on him either. Reesecano picked me up for one week then Miller came through when I needed him.

WR
I had 5 studs here with 5 players I really personally LOVED. I couldn't have asked for better results.

Antonio Williams- Turned out a solid keeper. Injury early on didn't look good for him. Slowed him and down and cause him to miss time. Luckily for me it ended up I was deep at WR and him coming back was a bonus and made it difficult (yet a good problem to have) on deciding while WR to start on a weekly basis. I gave Williams the weekly start most weeks as he was my keeper and a reliable option. Good touchdown guy and about the time he took off again and got healthy was when Wesco got hurt. Sad for Wesco but was good for Williams.

Carnell Tate- Guy I really wanted in this draft. Where I picked in Round 2 I wasn't crazy about taking him based on value but I went with what I loved and it turned out as well as I could have hoped. Had a really solid year and was well worth the rd 2 pick that I debated. Got hurt late which was fine for my squad since I was deep at WR but came back just in time to have a good championship game.

Kevin Coleman- He did Kevin Coleman things. Similar to Mississippi State Kevin Coleman.

Jordan Hudson- Steal for me. When I drafted him I told Q and Omar my hope was he was my Kevin Coleman of last year. A player I loved and drafted the year before only to not get much out of him but kept him on the roster all year. Started out rough with his elbow injury. At first it appeared me might miss the entire season two players into the season. Instead he missed 4 and after that he was well.... My Kevin Coleman of the season before. He was fantastic and became a weekly started for me. Had a good championship game as well.

Omar Cooper- Another steal. I remember scouting him the year before when he was on DHoey's team thinking to myself if this guy could get the ball more he will become a very good college WR. Sarratt stayed at Indiana so I didn't think about Cooper much the first half of the draft. As it got deeper he was a guy I felt I had to take after my thoughts on him last year. After Antonio Williams went down week 1 I wasn't sure who to start as my 3rd WR I was debating Rashid Williams vs Omar Cooper (Hudson already got hurt) threw Cooper in there and like Kewan Lacy, never looked back.

JoJo Trader was a bad pick. Got hurt early, came back late, had one ok game but by that time Malachi Toney was the guy for Miami and Trader couldn't get back into the starting lineup. Didn't end the season well after one good week.

Barion Brown- 3rd year in a row I took him and 3rd year in a row he let me down. His first year he had some moments but ended up I had to find someone else to start over him. Last year I think I started him once, this year twice and never ended up being what I expected. I expected his college career to be more similar to how Omar Cooper did this year as a similar type of player but it ended up Cooper was what I thought Brown was. I thought a change of offenses would bust Brown out this year but that didn't even happen.

K- Rough start- For the second time in my Soul 12 history my drafted K did not win the starting job (Bert Auburn) I used 4 kickers this year and even had to bid 5 points on one because I ran out of exception kickers.

Bert Auburn
Damian Ramos
Will Ferrin
Trey Smack

Ferring was my best and ended up doing just fine. Had a good championship week. Picked up Smack when Ferrin and Ramos had the same bye week as I had Smack last year and just liked him. Almost started him in the title game but figured Ferrin earned it. Ferring scored 11, Smack 10

Looking back for fun

Bad picks (I think you have to be taken in the top 10 rounds to qualify for this)

Rd 3- DJ Lagway
Rd 6- Joshisha Trader
Rd 7- Jordan Lyle
Rd 8- CJ Baxter
Rd 10 Barion Brown

I did not draft well early this year

However, I did draft well late and that was the difference. Weird year where you probably could have flipped my draft around and it would have looked good.

Rd 13- Rueben Owens
Rd 15- Conner Weigman
Rd 18- Jordan Hudson
Rd 19- Kewan Lacy
Rd 20- Omar Cooper

Ok, enough of my rundown.

Happy trails my friends

Special thanks to @osubuckeye89 and @The Q who do an excellent job from start to finish with activity in this league. Hope to see both win a title because of it. Also, special shout out to Navin who was actually the only one to hit me up and congratulate me. His spot is saved for next year despite us needing him to post more. Lastly, SportsGuru probably has no idea what went on in this league this year as he doesn't pay attention. Doubt he would even know if he won 1 game or won the Championship until the start of next year. Probably won't look at this forum until keepers are due. This year is different. I want some activity or I am replacing people. :)

I had two good keepers

Both missed time with injuries

My first round pick missed half the seaosn and I think I won one game post injury, legit might’ve been 0

I took not one but two West Virginia QBs and both got hurt. Nicco got like 4 games and Jayden got like 4 passes

And I just couldn’t get good production from other pickups when needed

Rbs: I used an insane an amount of draft capital in backs to get so little

Parker was utahs best back but it took them half a year to realize that, and then let some backup QBs steal short tds

People’s and Willis just stunk. Period full stop

Over half of martins tds were the last 3 weeks of the season when mine was over

Using over 1:3 of my budget on a guy who was out for the season and it wasn’t disclosed until like 3 weeks later was brutal

Receiver

Tyson was amazing when healthy

Dwyer had a good start and died when tcu forced the ball to mccalllisrer which didn’t even benefit their season at all

Thomson was one of my better picks, but he was only ok

Most of wrs stunk bad

My kickers were amazing

My defense was worse than my drafting

Coaching: bottom tier coach in the league

Probably should be fired

What can I say. I knew from the get, that my WR's would be my Achilles heel, and they were. Loved my keepers Saying and Love, they will probably sit next to each other in NY. Stribling was my first WR off the board, and I knew he was going to be in a crowded room but never really was the #1 at any point in the year. Drafted Wingo and Mosley thinking one would have a monster season, well the Texas passing game didn't really show for the first 10 weeks. Clement in round 8 was pushed to the side for Hank Beatty, and luckily I picked him up off waivers early. My middle round picks added up to a whole lot of nothing; Farroq, Javonnie, Dallas Wilson (injured pretty much all year), Rodney Fields (putrid OK State offense, Gio Lopez (Belichek experiment), Javion Thomas (UCLA garbage).

Best pick for me: Round 21 Ryan Davis and Round 18 Jeremiah Cobb. Both were solid contributors throughout the year.

Excited for next year as I should start out with great keepers again. If I can shore up my middle round drafting, I think I can make a run next year.

I appreciate the write up and congrats @Draft Crazy and @Navin101

This was probably my worst team ever.

I probably had one of the worst RB units in Soul 12 history. It was rather embarrassing that Jam Miller was a weekly start for me. Darius Taylor was ok at best but overall hurt most of the season. My team was decent to start but faded quickly and got REALLY bad fast. Le'Veon Moss was my best RB but once he went down it was downhill from there. He probably didn't like me after playing for DC the year before. Jadarian Price was used more then you would typically like to use a #2 RB in his situation since Love is a bellcow but that was how bad it was.

My QB's weren't much better. Dante Moore was not very good. Not many times did he reach over 20 points which isn't real good for your QB 1. Mason Heintschel/Eli Holstein had some moments. Noah Fifita was one of my better late round picks but he wasn't super amazing either. Good enough to not make my QB unit miserable.

WR unit started ok and got way way worse as the year goes on. Deion Burks was awful. He finally did score a TD in the final game. I had to use him almost every week if that tells you anything about how bad my team was. Johntay Cook too. Had a good game or two early and had to way over use him because I had nothing else. Cam Coleman was average after a good ending to his FR year and Mike Matthews was way over used as well. A guy who was at best a bye week filler. Couple good games but not good late in the year.

My team was brutally bad.

Can't wait for next year. I still had fun.

No passes

The dude also said he had the worst team in the League and he finished second in his division

Do you think SportsGuru even knows if he won his last game or not?

Got carried by my QB play this year (Williams, Mendoza, Sorsby).

Thankful I made it to the title game because I didn't feel like my team was good enough for that.

Sorsby was a good pick

My favorite one of yours at the time I think
