No one watching the Wussified Cater to me Perimeter Collusion league anymore? Superstars used to get banged out, bruised up, abused and STILL managed better accomplishments than these overrated, overpaid primadonnas today.

No one is gonna watch pretenders to throne, when they have already experienced the REAL thing

Or maybe 1:00 games on weekdays just don’t get as many viewers?

But go ahead and keep believing BS if you want. That is what you do best.

Can't believe 1 PM EST/10 AM PST and 3:30 PM EST/12:30 PST games during the work week won't draw ratings lol

Just don't go blaming others when you keep responding to this guy.

While the OP's post is definitely extreme, parts of it are true. The bubble playoffs are definitely watered down and moreso than any previous version of NBA basketball.

No one believed me when I said it before, but I worry we'll see a rash of injuries like never before during a condensed 2020-21 season. We all should remember what happened to Derrick Rose during the lockout-condensed 2012 season...

Sure, there is more injury risk this year.

But not by enough to make it not worth playing these games.

Uh huh....baseball plays as many, or more day games and it's viewership is being reported as up.

NBA ratings dip out of step with trend

"Baseball.... has seen a surge with ESPN reporting Thursday that the network’s MLB viewership jumped 29% to an average 1.2 million viewers. A company spokesman said viewership is up across key demographics, including adults 18-49 (57%) and 18-34 (69%)."

Ratings are dipping imo because there is just so much basketball all at once. If there were only two games a day you’d like have a more interested audience. I’d turn in to watch all playoff games because there were two back to back. But now there’s 4 games on, I just pick and choose which one I want to watch the most out of the four.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

Baseball has always played day games on weekdays. The NBA has never done this.

I miss 10pm start times.

Ain't missing summer to watch basketball. (Would be different if the Pistons had played since 'arch.). Unless it's the Olympics.

Baseball and basketball are both hard for me to watch right now. Feels like I'm watching practice. Have realized there is a lot more to sports on TV that just the sport itself. Fans matter.

Baseball on the radio im enjoying as much as always though.

Fans, no fans.

Does not alter the watching experience for me 1 bit.

I understand the summer part, but I really don’t get the fan part.

I just assumed everyone tuned in to watch what goes on between the lines on the court.

Actually, this time I am watching more NBA than ever. Can’t say why exactly but I am really enjoying it more than ever, especially the playoffs now. I really like TNT and watching the half time shows and post game analysis with Charles Barkley and his friends.

Translation = "My suckass Pacers are down 3-0 to a team I hate, so this is me claiming these playoffs don't count".

Aren't you a Pistons fan? You should be used to watching your team play with no fans. :D
