The Lord saved my soul as the church sang this song.

Possibly the first song that talks about wanting to commit suicide.

Skip to 2:30 for my favorite version of I'll Fly Away by Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson and Lyle Lovett, but Rosanne does a pretty good job of I Walk the Line before it starts.

Do you ever step out of that genre, chewy?

There's tons of other music out there, dude....but I don't want to step on any toes.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, I've posted 4 different genres in this thread.

Country, southern gospel, bluegrass and Southern rock.

But seriously, I've listened to it all, real Country has and always will be my favorite. I like southern rock, and some classic rock, bluegrass, southern gospel and some blues.

But, feel free to post songs from any genre you want, I actually listen to a lot of songs posted on threads I start by other people. I've heard some songs I haven't heard that I've liked and I've heard some that I wish I still had never heard.

But if you ever have a country music question, I'm your guy.
